Exactly one year ago we were all so very excited about all the big news that was happening in .TV
There was the fact that Audi, Mercedes-Benz and then BMW had all launched .TV sites
http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/504276-bmw-has-launched-its-tv-site.html
There was the story that there was an increasing number of .TV sales shown in DN Journal with FIVE names mentioned and THREE of them in the TOP TEN
http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/505752-dnjournal-another-big-week-for-tv.html
There was the story that there were 20 .TV names at Sedo auction
http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/506032-wow-20-tv-names-sedo-auction.html
Today, I notice that Audi and BMW redirect their .TV extensions to the country extension. I see that DN journal does mention two .TV names, but none were in the Top Ten, and there are just four .TV names at Sedo auction.
In part, this may be down to the economy, but my take on .TV is that it was one of the few extensions that really did look beyond present economic woes and was one of the lucky 'future-ready' extensions.
In part, this may be down to the loss of such a cohesive unit of people, led by Equity (Happy Birthday by the way), working towards making the .TV extension such a vibrant thing.
In part, this may be due to the fact that the bulk of world domainers now see only doom and gloom on the .Tv section as, in the newly changed words of Edmund Burke (who was not a domainer)... All that is necessary for the triumph of domain collapse is that good men do nothing.
I, personally, still believe very much in .TV, but am so very very glad that I also took the precaution of acquiring the TV.com version of so many of my names.
My question is this...
Can any of those invested in .TV offer some GOOD news about .TV to counter the ‘flat’ or very ‘negative’ news and opinions that have been seen here for the past few weeks.
Even news of a good sale might cheer people up.
Or is it hasta la vista .TV?
