Can I Use Afternic and Others at Same Time?

I'm thinking of giving Afternic a try.

I have sent an email request with this question, but judging by some of the comments here Afternic can take forever and a day to respond.

I assume that my listings will be shown on GoDaddy as well as Afternic, so I would need to remove my domains from GoDaddy first.

Does Afternic demand 'exclusivity' so that I couldn't list the same domains on, say, Flippa, even without BIN prices?

No. Afternic does not require exclusivity

That's good. Thanks.

To expand on my earlier comment, make sure you don't list it for bin on more than one marketplace

I'm curious, why you think it's better to list on only one marketplace for BIN?

Yes, I know I should only list a BIN once. Thanks.

Because if you offer a domain at a buy-it-now price in two or more separate marketplaces what happens if both get sold at the same time?

You are saying 'I will sell this domain at a certain price' and you can only sell it to one of those buyers.

On another note, I've done a stupid thing and forgot to make a note of my username and password when I registered with Afternic.

I can't retrieve my username through providing my email address as that doesn't seem to be an option, so I've just written to them to ask for advice.

I hope it won't take a week for them to get back to me. I wonder why their customer service is so poor? Short-staffed, poorly trained staff, or Afternic simply couldn't care less about their customers?

Ok got you, but you must have crazy good domains if you think that one domain can be sold in the same time for BIN on separate marketplaces. What are the odds? :) :)

Btw, Afternic DLS with fast transfer is the best option for BIN listing, in my opinion and my experience. Many console bugs, a bit slow support etc.. but your domain is listed in the vast majority of registrars if you set BIN. And it works.

I agree, it's extremely unlikely that one domain would be sold in two places at the same time, but is it really worth taking that chance?

I'll definitely go for BIN on Afternic, the additional exposure is worthwhile.

Sure. And when domain is sold on afternic, payout is automated and fast after domain is transfered out.
Don't forget to include their commission in BIN price and good luck :)

This actually happened recently with me. I negotiated and sold a domain on Undeveloped and forgot that I'd set a bin for that same domain on AN. And a week or so after the domain sold on Undeveloped, someone BINned that same domain on AN. What are the odds? Dunno. but it can happen (and has happened with me).

How did Afternic respond when you told them you no longer own the domain?

I'm pleased to say that I got responses to my questions from Afternic last night.

Can't complain at the speed of their service.

Nothing. No response. And then after about a week or so, I received 2 emails:

1. We could not verify the buyers payment so the txn is canceled
2. We could not verify the whois of the domain and that it belongs to you so the domain has been removed from your account.

The TA never responded to my e-mail to them (3rd time this has happened).

But what's about Uniregistry Market listing? I park my domains with parking companies and list them on marketplaces like Sedo, Afternic, Domain Agents, Igloo.com.
Uniregistry Market sales lander on my domains is not required to be listed there?
