Hello,

A domain got transferred and then later it got deleted and the registrar claims it had the status "clientRenewProhibited" before the transfer. Can such a status survive a transfer?

Has anybody heard of that kind of thing?

Thanks a lot

Deleted ? That sounds scary ? What was the domain or TLD ?

Hi, thanks for answering
It was a ccTld for Mexico.
And it got renewed (transfer-renewal not normal renewal) after transfer
so it had 2 years in total

When it comes to policies and procedures, ccTLDs are a complete crapshoot. Policies and procedures for the gTLD's are fairly standard, and are set by ICANN. With ccTLDs, all bets are off and, no, there is nobody who walks around with all of the ccTLD policies in their head.
