Hey guys ,

So I was just sat here browsing eBay and wondering , has any of you ever got yourself a good domain name from eBay?

I have been looking through them, and to be honest the majority seem like a lot of crap. They are just either generally rubbish or priced at stupid prices for example:

Travelsupersonic DOT com with a 150k starting bid

But that is pretty low compared to some listed in the millions, why do people post them on eBay for so much? Is it a way for boosting traffic ? As its almost certain they won't sell for them prices.

Some people have reported picking up domains at low prices on ebay and flipping them for decent prices. Patience is the key. I guess you have to sift through the rubble to get to the diamond.

Yes, most of the domains are just crap domains people are trying to get rid of or sell for too much.

It is true you can on occasion find a decent domain, but you have to sift through a lot of garbage to find one.

I frequent ebay for cheap brandables. There is a seller there whos doing very good selling his names for $25 to $99 each.

His model is quick flip and id say he is doing good.

Lotsa crap domains though as many stated.

True; but there is some hidden gems on ebay, the key thing is to try to narrow you search (ex; 6N domain, 4L, LLLL domain, movie domain name,...etc), also there are many collection lists made by users you may find on the right side bar.

Caution: some domains are IDNs (International), also pay close attention to the Extension.

As for the prices; filter for Auction with low start (I've seen many domains auctions closed on ebay then got re-listed for sale here on NP almost instantly), and look for listing with 'make offer'; many sellers will accept a fraction of the price. Good Luck :)
