In the few months that I've been buying and selling domain names, the one thing that's probably intriuged me the most from a sellers point of view is eBay.

On one hand, I hear great things about selling XX/XXX value domains there, people register domains for 8 dollars and sell them the next week at eBay for 80. I've also sold some less than spectacular names there for reg fee ($10), that probably wouldn't have sold here for half of that.

On the other hand, I hear horror stories of people letting great domains go for dirt cheap, clueless buyers, and scammers. I've only sold a couple of domains on eBay but I haven't experienced any of that so far.

Have you had success or bad experiences when selling at eBay? What domains work best there and would you sell there again? Any tips for the eBay noobie like myself who wants to make a good profit?

I try to find decent dropped domains through justdropped, buy them for reg fee and start the auction at reg fee price on ebay. Add an estibot appraisal especially if it values it at $60 or higher and it has backlinks. Another cool tool is www.makewords.com which I use to uhmm.. make words up, cool brandable 2 word .coms and flip them on ebay too. Usually always make a profit. But I have started auctions at .99 and lost a couple dollars too. You win some you loose some.
