In light of the discussion of domain theft, I thought I would post some tips in case you get ripped off on Ebay. The basic scam people try on Ebay is they'll win a domain auction, pay for it, the name get's transferred and then they do a chargeback on paypal (you've now lost the domain)
Ebay and Paypal will not take your side on this case.
Steps you should take immediately.
1. File a dispute on ebay, and with paypal. At least, hopefully the Ebay id will get suspended.
2. If the domain is registered at godaddy (I think most ebay sellers have them there), send an email to [email protected] right away and contact them immediately. Tell them your account was comprimised and the domain should not have been transferred to another godaddy account. You'll have to fax in a form with a photo id. They'll tell you to open another godaddy account and put the domain in that new account (you can push the domain back to your old account afterwards)
Over the years, this has happened to me 3 times on ebay, and ALL 3 TIMES, i've recovered the domain using this method.
Hopefully this helps anyone out caught in a similar situation
