Another evidence of good use of keyword was the sale of the domain thinkwallet. com it was caught by conslting company called shaimedia. com using pheenix.com. The domain was re-reg back about a month ago March 17, 2016 although I suspect the sale was through a referral.

What part of 'can you kindly not post sales data in a searchable format' is it that you don't understand?

The purchaser of that domain does not want that comment showing up in the search engines! I'm sure the seller of that domain is not best pleased either.

I understand the frustration of having names rejected. It's happened to me several hundred times! :( We put a lot of time and effort (and money) into obtaining what we feel are good brandables and which will be accepted at BrandBucket for publication. When some of them are not accepted its very annoying and frustrating. I agree.

However we have to accept that if we want to be a BB seller that is part of the process. BB has been very upfront in their interviews on Domain Sherpa and in their press releases etc. saying they only accept a small percentage of the domains that are submitted to them. They only take what they feel has a good chance of selling to their customer base and target market. It doesn't mean the domain has no value or isn't good. It means it's not the right fit for their marketplace.

Although I feel frustrated by rejected domains, in my mind I'm grateful for the honest evaluation as I don't want to waste my money on publication fees and renewals if my domain doesn't have a good chance of selling. Instead I look at other ways to turn a profit on my rejected domains. In fact, just yesterday I sold one of my BrandBucket rejects for $995 on GoDaddy premium! In fact I've sold several BB rejects that way over the past year. So don't get hung up on rejected domains just keep moving forward and learning as you go. It's the only way to be successful in this industry.

I always use BIN. I think that many GD premium sales are impulse purchases and I want to set up a situation where that person can buy immediately with their CC so I set the price. I feel I get more sales and at higher prices with that method.

Instead of looking at conspiracy theories, your energies should be on choosing the right name. No amount of marketing/exposure on BB will lead to a sale.

An end user (at the end of the day) will only select a unique, brandable and memorable name.

When choosing a domain (as an investor) think like a buyer (and more importantly) like an end user....not like another domainer trying to make a quick flip.

And you are entitled to mentoring tone why?

Drop your conspiracy theory about others having conspiracy theories.

Asking for transparency is normal and expected for such a coop marketplace.

google does not show the same ads
Becuase not every one knows about it and is blindly buying domains. I too have an unfair advanatge but krell is sitting on top of users on brandbucket. Managing director competing with ordinary users is an unaccepatble unfair advantage. So I hope you get my point.
You can easily learn how startup companies brand themselves...just visit crunchbase dot com and techcrunch dot com.

March over 80+ Sales but April in the Mid 70+ sales.

April
michaeljkrell =19
Margot =4
Keith DeBoer= 2
brandworthy.domains = 2
INVENTRA. =2

Remaining 38 sold 1 domain each. Lets found out who dropped out from top list in March?
FWIW I sold 3 names after an 8 week lull. So perhaps we have to be careful taking your figures at face value?

@michaeljkrell, @JimJammy, @Domainzy and other successful sellers:

What is your recommended "price" strategy? I mean +20%, -20%, discount yes/no etc...

Thank you very much...

Does anyone know where I can find a full or large list or names that have sold at BrandBucket? I think I saw one somewhere in the past but cannot find it now.

Any help would be appreciated!

Also to stay on topic, brandbucket is great from my exp.

I wonder how end users search for domain names on BB. I reckon this is the million dollar question. If I was a start up company and visited BB's list of 30K domains that are for sale I don't want to spend hours perusing their data base to pick my ideal domain name.

Surely there must be a quicker way.

I tend to increase the price 10-20% to a visually nice looking price (usually ending in X,X95) and I always tick the max discount of 10%. I've never had to sell at a discount.

They are not going to wade through all of the names on BB. Startups have a theme - they might design game apps (in which case they are likely to search for 'game' 'app' 'byte' 'developer' etc) - or they might want to name a health product (in which case they are likely to search for 'health' 'wellness' 'energy' 'fit' etc). If you go and search as a potential buyer you'll see there really isn't as much choice for a buyer as you might think!

8 week lull = April 2016?
Actually we're both wrong here. I sold 3 names in first week of May. Zero sales in April. Prior to those sales I had no sales over an almost 8 week period.

Of course there may be a delay between buyer checking out and BB actually confirming the sale, so perhaps 2 of those did checkout late in April I suppose.

The actual sales was days or weeks before you get an actual confirmaton.
