My experience lately is that from "Submit For Listing (having paid fee, etc.)" to " Actually Published" is taking about 2 weeks.

From my personal experience as of recent - from the day I submit a name to the day it is published is normally about 3 weeks-1 month. So right in line with Nat including pending acceptance.

What is the bug? I'd like to check if it's affecting my names.

PM on the way. I don't want to report it publicly until BrandBucket fixes the issue. I alerted them yesterday afternoon, 3 hours after the error or lack of attention to detail occurred. In their defense, I gave them the exact detail a few hours ago. Michael responded promptly. But because he is off today, it was merely a band aid of the fix.

In regards to my accusation of Michael abusing the featured domain section. I will research further into my accusation (that his domains are favored) by seeing if his domains are priced over / under $2500. The exact detail or lack of attention to detail as I coined it both, was priced above $2,500...

One thing I just noticed (maybe it was this way before and I didn't realize it):

If you click "Buy Now" on your lander page - it will just bring you to the brandbucket page of your domain which list other domains that the potential customer might like to buy. (which are not yours)

A customer would then need to click Buy again to purchase the domain from the lander.

So this gives the customer more options in names after having decided to click "Buy Now" on your domain lander.

I can't say I am a fan of that if it is an intended feature of the site.

@michaeljkrell - Can you confirm if this is a purposeful function of the site or if this is a bug?

Hi Guys, I genuinely wish you all the best! Hopefully the new design will increase sales also by showcasing a variety of names. After 2 years and several sales which winded down eventually, I've just sent the notice to remove my portfolio. Will keep an eye on the thread here and there :)

@michaeljkrell Michael,

Would it be possible to edit/change our tags and categories for our names?

Also, to add a search function within the backend panel?

And to make the $10 fee process a little bit more user friendly. (Visa payment with a 4 digit pin, so we dont have to fill out the form every time)

Thank you.

Michael's 1st Page of 45 Domains Mean Average: $2,460 under $2,500
Ok, they're not all priced uberly high as I initially suspected. Some are priced reasonably under $2k.

I really want to ensure this doesn't become an unfair marketplace. We can openly monitor the featured domains, and their conversion rates to ensure equality. 50% during the opening weekend of the site change is something to take note of.

sold another one today for $3XXX
thanks, BB. Doing a great job - 3 sold for 40 days. And I have only 12 published.

Congrats, you're on fire! Putting my rant aside to celebrate for a moment. Let's hope this starts a cornucopia of more brandable sales to come!!!

Is it a must to write a description for your names? I never published a name so I don't know if the seller is the one that writes the final description.. I have around 100 approved ones so I don't have time to write a description for each of them.

They write the description

The final description is worded by BB. You just need to point them in the right direction.

I tried listing 1 name but when I click on "validate DNS" it says "your domain is not validated" even though I correctly pointed it to their servers and that the domain correctly forwards to it's BB page. How can I fix this problem?

BTW, can someone help me by suggesting me 20 names to publish out of my full accepted portfolio? A second opinion is always good..

It would take some time to update the nameservers at your registrar. Please try after 5mins.

It's already 2 days since I did it. The nameservers are already updated at my registrar long time ago and as I said the domain correctly redirects to it's BB page.

PM @michaeljkrell and let him know about the validation problem.

@Galleshem PM me the list of approved names and I will let you know from my experience what I would choose

This is not related to the BB recent upgrade, but is something that I have been curious about for a while. Some listings resolve to a BB landing page that also has a Brand Name Score Card, and that whole page is devoted to the one name. Other listings resolve to the top of the a page with name info and pricing etc, no Brand Name Score Card, and the bottom of the page shows "other names you might like".

It certainly looks as if the first type of listing is an enhanced version of the standard listing. Does anyone know how to apply for or get the enhanced listing page?

If you use the BB DNS servers then your names will resolve to the "enhanced" landing page you mention. If you simply forward your name then you'll use the regular lander with other names mentioned.

Not sure if there's any conversion rate benefit to using one over the other.

Thanks Brandworthy! Yes, I forward all my BB names, I haven't used the BB DNS option yet. I'm going to try that for a few and see if it makes any difference.

I didn't know this was an option.

Noob Question: Is there a way to include a tracker on my domain if I start forwarding my domains to BB rather than using NS? This way I can track type in traffic.

Yes. You need to be able to do a little coding to achieve this. I redirect all my names via a tracking script on a server. It then cookies the user and tracks the clicks, and finally forwards traffic to BB. I use Piwik.org for tracking.

Thank you.

That's what Google Chrome is for :)
