OUCH! That is an AWFUL logo. I think they should make an exception in this case.

In full disclosure - IMHO I don't know if that domain on it's own merit will ever sell, but that does not justify that poor excuse for a logo. That looks like a 5th grader's first time playing with Windows Paint.

To be honest even I don't know if it will ever sell...But when giving something from your pocket and if you are not getting something that's worth, then it hurts... I didn't like the excuse he said so I didn't replied him back for few days...but again since I couldn't resists such a poor logo I mailed him again on Saturday, I told him if he cannot ask his designers to change, then let me know if I can upload my own logo for this name... I'm waiting for his reply since then....

Reminds me of one time when I had a problem with a logo. I said it "looked like my 5-year-old had drawn it" Paraphrasing, the response went something like "You should put him to work if he's that good".

What's most interesting is that the inability to change the logo appears to be a change in position. My case aside, I remember reading posts where members had requested changes and they were done. It seemed like an easy process to request. Maybe they had too many requests and felt the system was being abused? You can always apply to be your own logo designer I suppose. If my 5-year-old wasn't in school, I would be having him at the computer for 6 hours a day making Daddy some bank.:D

What is the status of .ly sales on BB?

Being that it's $75+ a year to renew, as opposed to $12 for a .com, I'd like more information to decide if this is a risk worth taking.

I have a couple .ly but no sales. Was also wondering if anyone has sold any perhaps @michaelkrell could let us know if there's been many sales.

We've haven't sold a lot of .ly's lately, but we do receive a fair amount of inquiries on them especially with how few are listed in the marketplace compared to .coms. Having said that, we are still pretty bullish on .ly, especially for some of the bigger keywords.

I have been in contact with @Messiah, and S U B J E C T I V O has been redesigned.

And when I asked if he can ask their logo designer to change the logo, guess what the Managing Director replied, he can't go to the logo designer to change the logo.. He is not sure if the name will sale at all...Well I don't care if it going to sell or not but at least I paid $10 for listing it... The managing director says he will only change the logo if it is hard to read... don't we feel it hard to read and a logo like that where most people will become color blind if they aren't already... Which buyer will view a name which is hard to read the logo itself...

The whole thing seemed fishy to me when people(with medium to large BB portfolio) criticized the MD for not having sales while he was making good sales every month....and on one day the MD comes and say we are going to give you the stats about the sales and the other day he says we are not supposed to....The only newsletter they send you is the keyword stats which I don't give a damn about.. There are plethora of names that will not sell for lots of sellers and these names will die as time follow without renewal... Its again quantity over quality... How many of you think that the name a business person is searching will go till the end of the BB pages? Not many at least..

And Yes...I'm not criticizing the MD because others are having sales recently and I'm not(I only have 6 domains BTW)....But I'm criticizing the MD because he isn't having the capability to ask their logo designer to change the logo because it just looks like sh#t....

I had the same issue on a logo and was told the same thing-this on a name that won a worldwide contest no less-a two year old could have done this logo and the "verbal" description - but I also know Mr Krell has no problem asking for a change on his own names. This is a private company and they can do as they please-you can either accept it or go elsewhere. That's not a knock but it's just how it is with BrandBucket.

Well, the reason could be that the political and economic situation in Lybia - you never know if tomorrow your domain will be still online. I would never purchase .ly domain myself, .sy and .iq are also off my radar

I personally haven't seen any domains involving numbers listed at BB so far, so I would say very minimal or none at all. IMO

So if you scrape them again you can tell what has been sold (or removed). It would be quite interesting to know what are the hot trends and what is selling, because those marketplaces are pilling up tons of useless domains (for e.g. *whatever*zi.com - curious who will buy domain ending in "zi"?!)

Like in frenzi.com or fritzi.com, both of which sold for $XX,XXX, or did you mean more like zhuzi.com, shunzi.com, kanzi.com, raggazi.com, xiangizi.com, servizi.com, snaparazzi.com or firouzi.com, as just a sampling of those domains that sold in the $X,XXX range?
