I posted last week that I sold a name, the name was BriteCloud.

Either they are accepting more names or I am getting much better at knowing what they are looking for, but my acceptance rate has increased a lot lately.

9 accepted in my 12 last submission. (75%)
17 accepted in my 32 last submission. (53%)

I used to be around 27%.

Maybe a little of both... I'm around 20%, though most of my domains are bought not specifically for BB. Also, for what it's worth, you have one of the nicer BB portfolios imo, so don't cut yourself too short here.

Has anybody else noticed the improvement in BrandBuckets customer service lately?

I am not good with 2-keyword so I stay away from them. I have like 15% acceptance on these.

I try to go with names derived from a word. That is where I have more success.

I sold a name a few weeks ago, but i doubt i mentioned it. It was a killer domain and it sold within a few days of being listed! The domain already forwards to their actual site(a non .com!) So yes they just bought it to own the .com version. Smart move. I hoped they would And it was my highest price sale ON Brand Bucket yet. (If we get along, just PM me and ill let you know the name)

How did you pocket more profit? You still lost out on an extra 30%. If they bought it from BrandBucket for a certain price then they would have bought from you for the same price. That's a loss of 30% no matter how you look at it. They didn't say yes because it was being sold at BrandBucket, they said yes because they wanted the name.

Maybe he was asking $700 for the name and they refused.
Then on BB they had to pay $2000 to get the name.

That leaves him with more money in the end even with the 30%.

Why would you possibly say "Thanks BrandBucket" when you were already talking to the customer? Most large brokers would cut the commission if you bring in the buyer or let it known you've been talking to him/her. This customer simply wanted the name and it happened to be on BB. I hope your "Thanks BrandBucket" gets you faster approvals/more money for listings-im pretty sure that's what you're looking for.

Just done some research, mostly because I had to much time in my hands. I found, that for my BB listed name Venuzo there is still active listing at Namerific marketplace. Don't they remove names from their system automatically, once they been dropped?

Not impressed at all to be honest. I got in touch with them will see how long it takes for them to take any action

Yes, they would have end up buying it from him anyway after a while.
But it seems during halted-negociation, he published on BB and by the same occasion, lost power of negociation.

BB is very good for convincing the buyers that domains normally cost thousands.

Actually I think BB is entitled to their 30% re marketing costs etc and again no one is forcing you to give BB names-but my only issue is if -as stated above-someone brings in a potential buyer along with the name the fee should be less. But then again if they get twice the money for it-lol.
