It makes sense for those companies having trouble finding a name on Brand Bucket. From what I can tell the only names that can be submitted are names that are already approved on Brand Bucket. The only problem I have with this concept is that you will have every single member submitting every name that they have for any business looking for a name even if it doesn't make sense for the concept.

Nice concept. They can fix members submitting every name by just implementing a limit , like 3 names per profile.

This concept also has the ability to backfire if a company is ready to pull the trigger and buy a name but now may think twice and ask "The Crowd" and then become confused with the whole process and go somewhere else. You want to put less steps in between needing a name and buying a name but this adds another step to the thought process that could throw off potential buyers in my opinion.

Wouldn't it be more effective to have some kind of "BB marketing experts", a small group of people helping entreprise finding the right name among BB domains. That group of people would be more familiar with what's available on BB to make sure no good domains are overlooked because of bad categories.

They've had BB marketing experts suggest names to buyers for a long time. They are trying something new. Time will tell if it works or not. I think it's a nice idea.

I don't understand. This is dockname.com just with BB branding.
Both sites are EXACTLY the same.

Maybe BB made dockname.com for testing purposes?

There seems to be some kind of partnership there as BB has ads and links between all of submissions at dockname.com. On a side note I found the dn submission process to be clunky and technically problematic. I had many failed attempts at name submissions.

Nicely done and this could potentially work if only BB sellers would be prohibited from submitting and voting up/down names.

I wasn't thrilled with it. The Q is pretty confusing. Could be OLongo.

I'm not sure what is going on with this one, either:

It looks cartoony, unlike any other logo I've seen on BB.

I did not find hard to read the Q. I think it is ok.

Bodli though .. I don't like it very much.

Perhaps people were complaining so much about how long it take to get their domains listed they started having lower standards on their logos to get them out faster

The only problem I have with this concept is that you will have every single member submitting every name that they have for any business looking for a name even if it doesn't make sense for the concept.

The only way I can see BB members submitting other user's names to this is if they get credited with an affiliate payment should their submission win. You're quite right - without an incentive the only names users will submit will be their own, and that will be useless more often than not.

I've no idea how they expect this to work TBH. Time will tell I suppose. The main lure of all the other naming sites is that the winning name will be available to register, so I'm not convinced name seekers will flock to use a service that only results in "premium" names.

It seems like a very strange solution if what they're trying to fix is a poor search experience on the BB site.

I don't think the Qongo logo is confusing but, those lines are unnecessary, IMO.

The Bodli logo is outright ugly...

My domains are currently "pending logo design", I really hope I don't have to deal with that quality of work. I'd rather submit my own logo.

You need to become an approved logo designer:

Then you reserve the making of logos for those domains you submit.
