past sales only show that brandables sell - it wont predict what brandables will sell in the future

Yes, but this wasn't the argument.

My ephasis was on "great brand name".

So @Justin Matmor don't take cover just yet.

@Dnbolt

I looked through your latest post of sold domains and a couple don't seem right looking at whois history.

Pinvio and BuckCloud both seem to have been recently transferred to another BB seller possibly?

So those are probably just aftermarket sales/transfers of domains between accounts if I had to guess?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

If these sales are correct:
"Let's Be Clear" is an interesting sale and good price. 3 words don't sale a lot, but I guess that is a call to action?
Jinio is a great price and sale. I imagine it was just looked at as an easy to remember invented name?
Prestio - I guess purchased because it is similar to "Presto!"
Gamivo - Good sale. I would contribute this to "Game" being the keyword the buyers saw.

Pinvio was a question asked. (as awaiting confirmation)

About "buckcloud" did not get confirmation yet but @JimJammy would know more about it than myself.

Any other names?

Whois does not always do good a job. some names can sell without the whois even updating :hungry:

No.. Was just running through them checking them out before commenting on the sale. I could be wrong on those... Not trying to call you out, just trying to help.

Just to shade some light on this I sold Pinvio.com in the aftermarket just yesterday

Are you saying that it is harder to predict great brand names than to predict the complex weather system ??

I believe that the brandability of a domain could be predicted with more accuracy than the weather.

But of course the weatherman can be wrong 60% of the time and keep his job.

I myself, if I ever found the time, would love to put an algorithm together to identify dropping and available brandable domains with the best probability of selling. I would need more than weather accuracy before I would trust it to make any buys, though. ;)

For now my human imagination/intuition and eyes will just have to do...

You don't always need to buy..;)

If only someone had a way to track the actual successful sales and share them with other investors...

It seems sifting through brandbucket removed domains list is a hassle, right?

Well there's about 3 layers of checks that dnbolt uses to verify/determine sold domains.

The second stage list is more cleaner and shorter and has an accuracy of about 70-80%

The third step requires some sort of handshake with BB to obtain a higher accuracy of about 95%+.

It is possible to make the second stage list available, if many are interested.

cognexa/com @ $2,495 sold during end of 2015 and now it looks like cogneta/com @$4,675 is about to follow suit.

For the 4 people that expressed interest you can view list here

Any sales to share?
A few months ago they were between 3 and 4 sales per day on average, but I think that lately the sales are down to 1-2 per day...do you have some extra stats?

I dont' think so, I was referring to actual domain sales.

Interesting possible sale: truckk/com => $2,195; RegDate: 2006-01-07

Let's see how popular these pattern are for bb past sales:

plankk/com =>$2,295
sukk/com $8,495
stackk/com

Some list of other startups using the "KK"

webtrekk/com
artklikk/com
jointrekk/com
doublethinkk/com
silverbakk/com
dailytekk/com
relianttekk/com
loyakk/com

-- List trimmed :stop:

Does this list go against what we have been taught by the pros who forbids having the ending letter doubled if
it's a two word keyword? Yes/No?

Out of 29 bb listed domains ending in "kk" only 3 are two worded.
feedbackk/com
teamworkk/com
chipmunkk/com
