revenue is going down.

Just some problems with our international, but hopefully it will be fixed in the coming days.

We are also getting our new templates out as soon as we remove custom content tomorrow morning, so hopefully this will increase CTR.

I m experiencing revenue dicrease as well over internatinal traffic domains, new templates and remove of content wont help much if international feeds wont return to the same levels as one week ago!

Well there is nothing that I can do, but wait. If the upstream providers would be a bit more stable in this industry, it would be much better for everyone. But every upstream provider in this industry has issues at one point or another. Either with reporting, the feed, uptime, or something else. Trust me, I'm not exactly happy when Bodis loses revenue either. I would also like everything to always be functioning for every millisecond of the day.

But in the meantime, I am working on going live with new landers to help improve network revenue as a whole. That is not something I just said after international coverage dropped. The new landers has been a plan over the last few weeks. ;)

Also, in the coming days, there are other minor improvements I'll be working on to increase your overall revenue by 10-20% (aside from the landers).

Thanx Matt, even though i wasnt "attacking" at the post you made, i just wanted to make clear revenue has dropped for internatinal traffic!
Cheers for now!

I really liked the custom content option. It made the landers look a little less like dull parking pages which is how they look now. A picture with a cluster of links and with the addition of 'related searches' at the bottom. These 'related searches' could spell disaster for anyone with a TM name (and a lot of generic words and phrases are TM'ed) as they would no longer be able to prevent potentially TM infringing links from appearing on their pages.

I'm listening.

We are still working on better landers that use multiple images and colors to make the pages look less dull.

Are people making more money on bodis now than they did a few months ago?

Makis, I know all about it. :( Thanks for the heads up though. It may not look like an option for much longer. I have a few options for international, but I do not know how much longer it'll take to get it working. The upstream that gave us the last international feed had a major problems with fraud and shut it down across the board.

The landers - I am still truly not satisfied with these landers either. And when testing them ,they shown an increase in revenue. Now, I am not sure if I am seeing that increase in production. That's why I have reached out to an upstream that specializes in lander development and they will supply us with landers that have proven their performance in the next week or two. We'll also try to work with more color as that'll increase CTR. The word "Related Searches" is not really related searches for now.

Are people making money? Depends. Some people are making more, others are not. Maybe worth testing a portfolio?

But one thing at a time, and sooner or later we'll get closer to our expectations.

I like the new layout. Clear and simple.
Bad that international feed is gone. Many of my domains used this feed.
US traffic has paid good in the last 2 days (RPM 26-30 US$) for a gaming related domain.

Hey Matt

I'm a little concerned with todays stats. Mine haven't moved for around 6 hours which is a little more than unusual.

Is there a problem with stats updating?

Also, the template being shown, or at least that I am seeing, is slightly different in layout to the one that you posted previously. Is there a way to change the template or does it auto optimize according to user behaviour?

BTW...Is there an update on what might be happening with an international feed?

Thanks :)

Matt, I am seeing delayed stats also.

1. Stats are delayed as today we launched an overhaul of our internal reporting code, and should update within the next hour or two. I didn't expect any delays but things came up last minute.

2. No concrete news on the international, although I will be keeping you guys updated once I have some more info on it. For this week, I'll be mainly concentrating on improving your revenue for North America, so I will see what I can do about that.

3. I have someone working on a better set of templates as I am not quite fully satisfied with what we have launched. So once there is more news about that I will update everyone.

Matt, since last summer we've been waiting for the For Sale link to come back. On 10-10-08, you said there would be a temporary For Sale link put back in a few days (until the marketplace was ready).

Most of my domains are private and without the ability to add the link ourselves now, it makes it very, very difficult to sell a domain.

Can you solve this problem....soon? Is there something I'm missing here...are other people adding their own For Sale links somehow on Bodis?

Thanks...

I've always said the For Sale feature in Bodis v1 was was great...for me, it was more important than the parking. Somehow, back then the domains were indexed, even if only for a couple of weeks or a month. As a result, I had inquiriies on about 50 different domains through v1 and sold a good number of them. Unfortunately, v2 lacks this opportunity.

The new templates and/or other changes don't seem to have helped revenue this month.

First 21 days of Feb 2009: $53.78
First 21 days of Mar 2009: $35.14

Is there even 1 person that makes any money with Bodis compared to the other parking companies. There used to be so much hype but is there any substance behind it?
Thanks, Jim

I'm in the same boat as Makis. Done better with Bodis than any other parking company, and by a bit too!

Have to admitt that the new landers haven't performed the way Matt maybe envisioned. Part of the problem would have been the loss of the international feed as well.

That being said, I'm still doing better than with other parking companies I've used.
