The new add domains functionality should be up tomorrow and allow you to add in hundreds of domain names simultaneously.

Today I logged into Bodis to find a domain with 14 visitors and $.14 in revenue. Then I logged back in about an hour to find the domain is down to 2 visitors and no revenue. This has happened multiple times lately. Is this just the system correcting itself?

Interesting. The system gives itself 15 minutes to analyze domain name traffic and discard any traffic and revenue that is not valid. That means, any traffic and clicks from robots that crawl the internet. What is strange is that you saw it drop, which is not supposed to be happening as the stats are now supposed to be delayed by 15 minutes giving our system enough time to analyze the traffic before it hits reporting. I will be looking into this over the next few days.

You may be seeing less visitors because we are now analyzing the visitors over a 15 minute time frame to make sure we discard any visitors that are invalid.

Also is there a legal way for me to check the traffic? For example can I have a friend across the US just go the page (no clicking) and see if it registers the traffic or becuase of the whole Zero Click thing is that the same as click fraud?

Yes it would be considered click fraud if done in a way to game the system. You can make sure that ZeroClick is skipped by passing in domain.com/?disablezeroclick=true in the URL parameter. But the visitors are registered late in reporting, in 15 minutes or more minutes from time of visit.

With all the updates and upgrades you've got going, I'd suggest it's time for some on-line documentation. Perhaps pop-up Tooltips on the domain modification buttons (e.g., does KW button means to use the master keywords, or what specifically?). Even a couple of screens with bubble boxes pointing to data entry points where the details of what the edits will do. Some are obvious (i.e., color), others really need some guidance. Even a crude first cut would be better than nothing (and better than waiting a few weeks for something polished). I would suspect someone could whip one up in a few hours.

Are the registrations still going to open today?

Registrations are just a little behind. I don't really work well on the weekends, so I will move it to Tuesday/Wednesday of the upcoming week, sorry for that.

The thing that we are actually behind on is the Add Domain Names module since it depends on a new system that chooses the most relevant photo for your domain names and constantly re-evaluates your visitors and domain name and keeps adjusting until the best domain image is chosen. This is only for the domain names that don't have a custom photo. So this was supposed to be live Wednesday, but it's Friday and it's still not done, so I am hoping that it can be live sometime on Monday.

Once it is live, we'll be able to enable the Add Domains module again this way the new image system takes over for picking the best photos instead of the old system which was a bit inaccurate.

Once we do that, we'll have registrations live. I didn't want to open registrations when there is a problem with adding domain names.

Registration was supposed to open on Oct. 16th. Well to those of you waiting, if you want a realistic date, add about 3 months onto Oct. 16th and that should be an accurate date. So my guess would be somewhere around Jan. 16th. I have no affiliation with Bodis, but I have seen a lot of empty promises made.

No parking growth

For what its worth, Bodis payout is about as good or better than the bigger parking companies.

The difference is you are not working with a company that has hundreds of employees. The owner of Bodis did all the work pretty much himself. He is a computer programing genius and his 20 yr age shows lots of promise for growth. Unlike some flash in the pan online successes, parking is much more challenging today. For a one year start up company to compete with the big boys, I will say I am very impressed.

Bigger parking companies have something Bodis does not have, piles of cash. So patience will slowly grow Bodis if he has your and my support. He pays on time, is honest, works his ass off and is only about twenty years old.

In view of all that the Bodis site is still very young and with some loyalty from his members (you) he can grow it to a powerhouse. Complain, leave, whatever, but know this you won't really do much better elsewhere.

Today parking sucks for everyone, including the owners of the parking companies.

Is anybody else getting dead links on their names with Bodis? I had two names last week that jus showed an error page. Today I discovered two more - longformvideo[.]com and kalahari[.]tv which led nowhere, just timed out and showed an error page. I've moved them to Parked - but it is annoying to think that there may be others and I need to check them all. I like Bodis and appreciate the hard work Matt is putting in, bu pages that don't even display are not very helpful.

Seriously now. How do I have a name with 102 visitors and $24.90 in revenue in September drop to ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS in October hence no rev. This name has always been a solid produced anywhere I have parked it. I mean it is an extremely generic investment .net name..... Also whenever the stock market drops its gets huge revenue and numbers...

We are launching the new add domains system within next 12 hours. This will allow you to add hundreds of domain names, and also, we are launching the photo optimizer along-side of it. So domain names that do not have a custom photo will automatically figure out the best photo based on domain name and optimize over time.

So once we have this system live in next 12 hours, not only will old members be able to add domains again, but registration will also be available for new members.
