What do you think, which gTLD suits better for a personal website?

.tv could be fun if you are going to be posting a lot of videos. .me would be okay. Most of my registrations in the new gtlds are more generic business related, not sure about personal sites. If you are going for goofy, fun, maybe a .ninja.

I took .domains as part of my brand so if I was to build a domain portfolio then of course .domains but if it is a personal site then .rocks or something like that. .guru has a nice ring to it if your selling a service like SEO or web design.

Not if you want to promote yourself.

Along with .pro comes credibility.

But in my ``neck of the woods`` (where I live) if you say a girl is a ``pro`` , you are basically saying she is a hooker/prostitute/callgirl.(not certified professionals) So again depending on the intentions of the webmaster..."Girlname" + .pro can get a lot of adult traffic!

Well, I'm not a girl and I am a pro actually (a pharmacist). Yes, I was thinking to get the .pro too but I wasn't much attracted. While I was creating the thread I found out that the .net was available (it wasn't the last two years), so i grabbed it.
I liked the idea of .rocks but for a non english speakers visitors, it won't work much.
The .ninja would be a funny website.
