Hi guys,

Just wondering your thoughts on the following:

Do you think other domains (keyword combos) are being overlooked or sold for less (at the moment) because of all the "hype" around LLLL.com's?

I'll use Ebay as an example: before all the LLLL.com's sold out keyword domains had some bidding action. Now it just seems that everyone is on the LLLL.com train. And bidding on other types of domains is down.

Same can be said for my domains parked at SEDO the LLLL.com's have increased traffic (no surprise to us here) while the other domains remain the same or have lower visits from prospective buyers/domainers.

I think there might be some bargains out there on ebay and SEDO and the other parking companies? Just asking what your thoughts are. Cause i really don't know. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

Thanks,

I regged HeyYouKidsGetOffMyLawn.com over a week ago and have yet to get a single offer for it!

Meanwhile in that same span of time I have sold (and bought) several LLLL.com domains ... go figure.

But no worries - the LLLL.com crowd might soon be scratching its collective head wondering where have all the buyers gone. Seems like they're busy regging LLLL.net LLLL.org LLLL.info and ... LLLL.biz ...?

:yell: HEY YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN !!! :yell:

LLLL.biz, now thats a sure winner :hehe: Might go purchase a few hundred!!! Since LLLL.com has taken off!!! :) LLLL.biz all the way I say (Yes I am Joking :hehe: )... But every 'Biz' needs an LLLL.biz don't they!

LLLLL.com High Quality Pronounceable 5 letter.com with an estabilished history of end users ('namepros own source' estimates an established 3 year history of end users) I know I have had offfers for at least 2 years for good LLLLL.com

They are on ebay and need to be given their attention due, as the end users are real!

Only time will really tell on this one. There's simply no precedent.

Even the dotcom bubble had other business bubbles (and the 19th century Dutch Tulips bubble for example) to serve as reference. But not with domain names. And so far it's always been going up. Maybe real-estate is a good reference even with its ups and downs too.. except only that with domains, there really isn't a known wave of "bad" periods as the trend has generally always been going up.

So it's really anybody's guess. A lot of people only months ago scoffed at the idea of funny obviously unusable LLLL.com combinations, and look at them rising now, proving all those people wrong.

Where will it stop? At .net? At .org? At .info? .biz? .tv? .mx? .etc? It has to stop somewhere.. but you have to consider that so far, the value of these names rising aren't actualy in direct proportion to their end-use.. their value is in the domain itself (who else would have thought that qxqw.com would have some kind of anti-beauty in its anti-premiumness.

So this may stagnate, but chances are (and so far the short history of the Internet and domain names have proven this) it will continue to rise.

The pioneers may end up with the arrows in their arse, but the early birds also get the gems, and so far, this has been true, and looks like it'll only continue.
