Anyone have any bans sites?

http://www.buildanichestore.com/

Curious on your thoughts about it and also if there is any other way to get ebay auction feeds?

Thanks.

I've been reading a lot about it but decided to buy phpbay pro instead. PhpBay Pro allows you to insert Ebay auction listings into your Wordpress blog using your CJ code.

They both do the same thing, just in different ways. I decided to go with PhpBay Pro due to the flexibility that a Wordpress platform provides and also the increased likelihood of SE indexing. At the time I purchased, BANS didn't allow mod rewrites of the ebay links so that factored into my decision as well. The new version of BANS does allow for mod rewrites.

PHPBay Pro is made by http://www.wiredstudios.com
Very helpful support and only $49 compared to BANS at $99.

I might end up purchasing BANS as well once version 3 is proven to deliver SE traffic if unique content is present.

You can of course use Ebay's Editor Toolkit and insert whatever searches you want for free :)

I bought the BANS software, and though it's pretty easy to create a website, I personally feel the market is now saturated with BANS or other Ebay affiliate websites....To use BANS, you need to become a CJ member, which I got accepted, only, CJ decided to close my account down due to not having earn enough commissions on my sale!.....I no longer use BANS now...still have the software....

i think bans still has potential, sure iphones are saturated but there are always new and undiscovered niches of ebay products.

from what ive read the trick to bans is to crank out like 30 of them or more.

ive used a few of the ebay affiliate tools and made some sales but most of the commissions were less then a dollar so they didnt add up to much.

I just wanted to let you know that I have tried out a new BANS like service from IncomeStores that combines products from Amazon, Ebay and any other CJ affiliate. They are currently in beta, but they plan on coming out in a couple of weeks. Here is one of my sites if you want to check it out: Coin Compass

Looks like $87 for a yr for one domain.

Is this system worth that sort of cost????

I am sure that you will get a lot of varied answers for this questions, but for me the answer is yes. The group of people who are running the show are doing a great job. They are taking feedback from the users and implementing new features and functionality that is helping everyone. If you find a good niche and spend a little time developing it, you can probable make your money back in a short time. However, if you bought a store and spent 1 hour developing the content, then probably not...

Well if someone just wants to buy into something and not devote the time and energy to it then ya spending $87 is fruitless.

Realistic with their system how fast can someone who places time and energy into the system get their investment returned???

It is going to vary for everyone. Let say that your niche is used foreign cars, you might make back $87 on one sale. However if you chose mystery novels, it will take quite a few sales to get to the break even point.

The sites are constructed with SEO in mind, so after a few months, natural traffic should start coming in. If you are really good at generating traffic though, you might be able to start driving sales the same day...

Like most thing in our profession/hobby, it is going to be dependent on the amount of effort put forth. As far as how fast, well that it going to be totally up to you...

I like the look of it although thats a bit of an investment to give it a test run.

On the other hand I've used some 'free' services that take every 4th click from affiliate sales and when my site became popular I ended up paying much more then $100 a year. That was still worth it since the tool generated sales which is the bottom line, if this pays for itself and the time spent in promotion then Im in but first I want to see some results like a free trial period.

That the nice thing about this setup is that you get 100% of the clicks. Also my site and domain have only been up for 2 weeks and I have already had 1 visitor from Google and 2 from MSN Live. No sales yet, but it shows you some of the SEO going on behind the scenes.

Also I misspoke earlier in this thread. Ebay has a set amount for commissions on vehicles. Someone the other day did sell a $29,000 excavator and received a $145 commission, even though their store was completely unrelated...

As a directory owner I'm seeing hundreds of these the past couple of months - rejected them all. No different than MFA

I use BANS sites frequently. The new 3.0 version is great. But I also make sure to add actual content to my BANs sites. Most of my traffic comes from natural searches.
