Atom / Atom.com - Marketplace (formerly Squadhelp)

Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

Agree, but it's hard not to look sometimes, especially when waiting for a sale. I think quite a few people wait anxiously for the newest installment.
Viewing those details give more idea about which domains are frequently being viewed but not purchased, whicch have very low views and many other indicators which help in deciding price change, renew, drop etc.
Not knowing any info but just waiting for a sale is for ameteurs. An option to see all the details is for serious investors.
You have both the options available in Atom. The choice is given to you to either see those details or ignore and just wait for the sale.
Complaining about it is like, 'why are you educating me or giving me the choice? Let me be unaware of anything behind the scenes'.

This was the first thing that caught my attention. How do they manage to put 'Ai' and 'Hand pick'in the same sentence? lol
It was probably written by AI, and the AI hallucinated and thought it had hands?...

You do make some good points there. I guess we need to do a bit more work to stay competitive.

Where do we find this on the dashboard? Do i have to be using the new interface?
When you click on a domain or click 'Edit classification', you will see it just above the logo area. Seems slowly its getting populated as I didnt see it on few domains.

So, what happens when the 'handpicked AI keywords' have been completely misinterpreted by the AI?

Is there any way to set those manually so we are able to set the keywords that are really related to the domain? (at least according to how we have set it up)

If you scroll down to the very bottom of the link in my above post, you can submit your own keywords for a manual review.

Hello everyone,

You can find the new High Visibility section directly on your main dashboard, just below the Views and Discovery panel. Clicking โ€œView Allโ€ will take you to the full page where you can see every Premium domain currently selected by our AI for prioritized visibility in search.

You can also open the dashboard for any individual Premium domain. If our AI agents have already identified matching keywords for that name, youโ€™ll see the High Visibility section there as well.

If you feel a domain should be ranking for a specific keyword but it hasnโ€™t been selected yet, you can submit it for manual AI review at the bottom of the High Visibility Dashboard. The system will analyze the domain, compare it against the keywordโ€™s intent, and determine whether it should receive priority placement.

Please note that this evaluation can take several days, depending on the popularity of the keyword and how many domains have already been identified for priority visibility.

Is that hoing to be added or already added to the dashboard. I see only the already added 'High ranking in Marketplace' in that space and not 'High visibility in search'.

Youโ€™re seeing something different from what I see.

You're seeing these blocks:
Strong Buyer Interest / High Visibility in Search / Landers With Above Average Time Spent

I'm seeing these blocks:
Strong Buyer Interest / High Ranking in Marketplace / Landers With Above Average Time Spent

Is this a good time to try super boost or better after the Black friday offer days are over, to get porential views and lander visits? Tried standard boost on 25 domains but dont see much difference in the past 4 days. Any strategy when to use?

Probably potential buyer had a round table conference with his board of directors. They all enjoyed looking at my domain for an hour before falling asleep ๐Ÿ˜‚. Hope they will wake up and click the buy button.
Got another board meeting candidates looking at a different domain this time. Anyone else has these kind of visits? But domain dashboard shows no views in 7 days / no repeat views.
