The US dollar is collapsing pretty fast and is supposed to get worse so I had thought of this the other night and it sounds like a good idea, just not how sure it will fly with clients and marketing in US.

Id really like to hear any American web hosting companies that have done this. It doesn't seem like an impossible task. but it seems if it was that much benefit lots would be doing it by now.

So for the experienced marketers and businesspeople here are a few questions about this.

Do you think It would hurt a predominately US client base or cause any negative affects there?

Do you think most potential customers from US will see the euro price and not think they will be able to buy because of different currency and all?

Do you know any US company who has done this?

Just wanting some input from other hosts about this. Thanks

Would there be any benefit now and in the future?

of course it would hurt , 90 % of people don`t even know the exchange rates.....I`m talking of normal common housewifes or low income job employees......sometimes even the high income jobs employees lol.

Basically you`d just complicate her task and people will choose another company that offers the same service but with the local currency to save time and headaches.

You can get a multicurrency merchant account and charge in different currencies.
A hosting company can serve clients from all over the world and choose the billing currency according to the country of residence of the customer (you can even detected the country of origin from the IP address). It actually makes sense to offer the currency the customer is accustomed with if possible.

I think 1&1 does that.
