Canadian company selling in US

I am going to start selling some products in the USA, these items are in the US and will be shipped by a third party there.

The problem arises with the return address, it should be mine but I am a resident in Canada. Are there any others here that do this? How do you get around that issue?

Just have them put your address. You don't want your customers knowing who your dropshipper is because they can cut you out of the middle.

My Canadian address? Would there be any problems getting the package over the border if it is undeliverable?

You know something I didn't even think of that. You're right it is common for people to give out incorrect addresses. I guess you have to check with your post office and find out what your options are.

Another option is using a mail forwarding service for your return address. Maybe try http://www.theupsstore.com/ and use them for a US address. Of course you have to contact them or a similar company and find out what would be best in your situation.
