Christine got the results of her latest scans, and the news is not
good. Things have gotten so critical that unless she finds a match within
the next 2-4 weeks, her only hope will be to move forward with the bone
marrow transplant anyway without a matching donor. This would mean an
extremely risky partial match transplant, with a very low chance of
survival.

We still have time to find a perfect match for Christine. But we need

What I don't think is that sending money overseas and believing what somebody posted is the best way to help.

There are better ways, like contributing to charities you actually are familiar with and trust. Catch my drift? You should be doing something that you KNOW will actually go into the right hands. Not saying that this won't, but there are bigger chances.

I have to agree with you. There's millions of people out there that need help, but there names don't get spammed all over the forum.

If I'm going to help people, I'll donate to a charity that I know will actually do something productive with the money.

I am going to agree with the other too. I think its nice your trying to save a life, I even put something in my sig,but there is no need to spam the forums, just bump the old topics you have already.

I applaud Cyberian for his charitable efforts and hope that NamePros as a whole can rise to the occasion and do whatever they can to help and not turn away, just because there are millions of others out there with similar problems.

A fellow member is counting on YOU... if you can't help, at least don't hinder...

However, this is a relative of one of the prominent members of our forum. If this was your relative (or you), wouldn't you want to get the word out any way you could? This is a dire situation for Christine, and time is running out. This should be a non-divisive issue --- we should all be doing what we can to help this person.

I agree with Dave and Scott. Like they've been saying, imagine if that was your loved one. Face it -- we can't save everyone, but why not try to help out at least one individual instead of shrugging them all off? I will try my best to assist Cyberian and Christine in this situation to the furthest extent that I can as a jobless teenager.

I personally think most people would rather help someone they know or a relative of someone they know then to hand money to a charity where you will never see the results of your efforts, yes things of this sort could be fraud so many stick to the well known charities, I highly doubt this is a scam as it comes from a well respected member of this forum, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but keep in mind this is someone's cousin and death is permanent, if this was your family member you would probably make the same plea as a forum has power to reach many users, I support any posts regarding this topic and think if you don't have anything nice to say or wish to support the cause then just ignore the thread, no need to post your disapproval which hurts the family of Christine. Good Luck in finding your donor.

This member is trying to help someone who is desperately in need of help and is doing everything he can do to help this one particular person. I mean if I was sick and needed help I'd be thankful for every person who tried to help me. Of course there are millions of people who need help, and many people are trying to help them, this member is trying to make a difference by saving his friend and all of you are putting him down and trashing his thread.

You all disgust me when you put this member down and your just being stubborn and selfish. How would you feel if you were dying?

Grow up, and if you don't want to help him or have anything to do with his thread, fly a kite and don't even bother posting!
