so the premium renewal fees are coming in and so far all of mine are wrong (not surprising, they are all incorrect on the too expensive side)

anyone gone through the process of changing them back to correct values yet?

enom representative, comments would be appreciated. is the process complete? are you still correcting/checking the premium renewal rates or are we going to have to go through 1 by 1 to correct them?

FURTHER NOTES:

1. The way to check is to press the Add Years button

2. There is absolutely no pattern to the pricing of the preemies re: what the discounts should be.

Many of mine should be at a 50% ongoing renewal discount. Some show 25% discount instead, some show no discount, others are higher than the initial non-discounted pricing.

It looks like a total random mix of pricing...except nothing is lower than it should be (no surprise there). Let's see how the transition continues to go...looks like yesterday's issues are mostly resolved, now it is time for today's issues...

thanks,

A

Same here.

Enom took all the original fees and did not take into account any discounts or special deals.

It would be nice if the new Enom NamePros member could have a look at it, I am not too worried about it, at least not yet :)

John.

Same here including 1 missing name.
I may understand that migration has been a real challenge for them and as far I understand from an email received this morning a violent windstorm in Washington has affected it, some widespread power outages in their area, so I may understand that more time is needed for a case per case adjustment BUT whatever the explanations are I can't accept and will not tolerate any change in my current renewal fee contracts and loss of name(s). I hope that all of you have kept copy of your invoices and got a print screen of your former account to be on the safe side if needed. I am not sure that VeriSign & Richard Rosenblatt would welcome such a bad publicity and possible legal appeals/enforcements as this does not only affect our group but the whole of the .tv community. So no panic but keep the pressure on.

It is interesting to watch to see how well they understand the dynamics of creating a large viable namespace.

If you want growth and investment on the virtual "real estate", you should be doing everything possible to reassure people about their contractual rights / "property" rights on which you want them to develop.

that is one key driver of .com's success so far, but as the recent ICAAN biz/info/org fiasco shows registrars are attempting to back-track. the issue is however that it is short-sighted for them.

I am not saying that Demand Media is trying to do this, but more broadly, you only get to try to violate your contracts once before nobody will ever trust you enough to develop again.

And as big as Demand Media is, they can't develop the .tv space by themselves (it's like verisign saying they would develop .com) - they will need to encourage development dollars and energy away from other extensions - like .com - to make it a robust extension.

given that, the game that .tv should be playing for is not to squeeze a little more money out of the completely trivial number of regs that have been made so far (probably less than 1M) but to try to get to 15-20% of .com regs (say, 8-10 million).

My two .tv premies should renew at $500 however, they are reflecting $1,000 per domain.
