discuss Afternic Suggestion: Enhancing Afternic Broker Negotiations with Seller-Added Domain Facts

Do Afternic brokers use specific domain name facts effectively to negotiate the price with potential buyers?

Why not add a Note field to each domain where the seller can include interesting facts to help the broker negotiate the price with the buyer?

For example, similar sales, the meaning of the domain if it is not in English, potential uses, etc.

You are lucky if Afternic even bothers to let you know when someone has made an offer!

That's the strategy for a lander, not the broker.

The ''free'' Afternic brokers do not reach to no one, from what I know, they get inquiries and go from there. This means the customer already kinda checked and liked the name for his reasons, which makes this ''note'' field pretty useless.

The type of info you are suggesting could help the buyer justify paying several thousand for a name, instead of the $100 or $500 they initially planned to budget to acquire the name.

I've spent much time pondering this question as well as many others regarding the elusive 'brokers'...it's best for us to not look behind the curtain.

Afternic's brokerage team are highly experienced and have developed tried and tested ways to negotiate successfully with potential buyers. Many of Afternic's brokerage team were originally part of the Uniregistry brokerage team.

Where necessary, they use specific data (which may include similar sales data) and information to reinforce the value of your domain name. If you feel there's something specific that your broker should know, you'll be able to message your broker directly through the Lead Center.

Hi @alcy
Afternic's brokers always work for sellers.

GoDaddy's Domain Broker Service - a completely separate team - always works for the buyer.
