By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

I like the innovation of the percentile ranking and the active listings section. Overall could do with less fluff and prose, would be faster and more token-friendly in a more structured and number focused way:

GoDaddy Valuation: $ xxxx
GoDaddy Percentile Rank: xx%

Comparable active Listings top 6:
domain.com $ xxxx
domain2.com $ xxxx
domain.ai $ xxx

Still, it has some flaws, which I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Here are two:

Leads and Offers: The domain has received no leads or offers, which suggests a lower initial demand. This lack of interest may necessitate a more competitive pricing strategy to attract potential buyers. ==> This often makes no sense when Afternic is not used for the lander.

Comparable Active Listings: Reviewing the current active comparable domain listings, there are several domains with "<redacted>" in their names priced between $2,500 and $5,999. ==> A lot of times, I'm seeing other, comparable domains from my own portfolio here. So, if I lower prices for these other domains, it will immidiately affect the valuation for this domain. This is not right.

Yup. It's also still not accurate, several domains with leads and offers say:

The domain has received 0 leads and no offers, which suggests that demand may be low at the moment. This lack of interest can significantly affect the pricing, indicating that pricing should be more competitive to attract buyers.

It also acts like some GD brokers saying it's probably really worth even less than the already low GD value because sales are rare or demand for domains is low, etc.

This is not smart. Absolute majority of my sales come from names that had received no previous leads and/or offers. It doesn't make them worse. Just niche. Plus, I have names that get hundreds of leads, which doesn't make them supervaluable. Most of those leads are probably just confused people filling up the form.

Its is understandable to get leads with confuse status from people filling the form when the chosen lander is "request price" , BUT i am receiving confuse status for domains with only BIN landers and the make offer option disabled !!
Two different domains with confuse status AND with same date and without Assignee broker name ! Lol
Seems the buyers on afternic have mutual seasonal feelings !!
Actually When we (domainers ) see the brokered leads section we are the ones whom got "confused" !!

As someone who checks the Afternic dashboard daily, I noticed a couple of weeks ago domains started going into "On Hold" again and staying there several days before a sale happens. The months before this only happened with LTO sales. Now I'm seeing no "direct" sales anymore, meaning sales that did not go through "On Hold" before. Anyone else noticed this? Wonder what's the reason.

It's several days for me lately.
One even dropped out of on hold after 5 days, just to be sold two days later.

The LTO sale I had today was not On Hold, I had checked right before the congrats email was received. Probably depends on how long buyer’s payment is being processed.

Thanks, this definitely confirms it is not a one-off issue.

It’s not a one-off issue unfortunately..
My LTO sale from today had active FT however the auto transfer failed and Auth code was required. Things were smooth and fast after that.
But this broken Fast Transfer process and most likely the whole network definitely has influence on sales frequency.

Have the same feeling. Sales velocity is suffering. DAN was many things, but it also had high sales velocity. We will see about Spaceship.

The GoDaddy domain recommendations are really bad.

They also showed Stocks.us as available to hand register, when it clearly wasn't available.

I can't believe some Afternic users are paying extra for this level of "promotion".

On the plus side, the last sale did not require me to put in Auth-Code for a Fast Transfer sale

So when my folio starts getting anomalies like few days without a sale, or skewed sales with multiple sales on a day followed with a dry spell, or more LTOs than bins, that is clear indicator that something is wrong.

Now got the second sale of the day through via Fast Transfer Network.
So these anomalies, that you observed as well, point to some manual action / bottleneck. Domains go into "On Hold" till someone manually approves them. Theoretically it could be coincidence, both buyers took extra time for payment, and then paid on same day. But I don't think that's the case.

I also noticed on GoDaddy itself that there seems to be some new "Anti-Fraud" measure when you register xx amounts of domains in one go, where the domains show "Pending registration" for several days till someone manually "approves" them. This never happened before, not even with 100 registrations in one go.

On the plus side again: The second sale also went through without needing to enter AUTH-Code.

@love4ever - Their entire system is off and it's no surprise. They're too focused on experimenting with ways to prevent sales.

I ran into the very same issue last week. The only thing Afternic support could do was escalate it.

Meanwhile, even though verification had been "successful," the names remained listed with the ability for anyone to add it to their cart and checkout.

In my case, by the following day, the sync had...synced and the listing was removed.

The only workaround I have found for this is "Llst for Sale," but of course, this means the names have to be with Godaddy.
