By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

We have pointed all domains to Atom, afternic with terrible experience, too mant unexpacted problems.

EXACTLY. what a mess. What I got today after the 24 hour mark (first day fine) is the PAST OWNER'S price. The caps = I am so sick of this.

My payment from a lease to own was a week late. The new owner has made 45 of 60 payments so far, so didn't want them to lose it. I asked for help on it thru Dan site.

Got a reply within 30 minutes. Replied back to the email and they cleared it up and payment on the way.
Dan support is so good and fast. Always friendly. Will miss them when they shut down.

I have a sale on @Afternic , and I already completed the Domain Transfer out 9 days ago (16th October), until today, there's still no Payout schedule. I asked the TA supports and they answered "we're reviewing" 3 days ago, but nothing happened.

So can you please help me to process the payout? Will send you DM the details of sale.
also just successfully sold a domain name at afternic after 2 weeks. and now when I see you say that. I contacted them to ask when I will receive the money, they just said "he Transaction Assurance team are currently reviewing the transaction for petalxxxxx.com. You will be notified by the Transaction Assurance team if any action is needed from your end."I hope my case is not like yours

This deserves a separate thread in the Advisories section.
And probably a warning to stay away from AN's version of the custom checkout link until... I don't know... maybe until they actually make it work efficiently?!! It's such a shame that GD has to try and make this stuff work in their already broken system. Imagine how easy it would be if you had the chance to buy a competitor who already had this working and you could use their system. Oh, wait.... :xf.laugh::xf.laugh:

Same here, we have transfered the domain to them for over 15 days, and also said Tranfer Complete.

Yesterday I contacted @James Iles regarding my latest bulk upload issue and he helped me promptly investigate the issue with the team and resolve it. We also had a small conversation about the current issues and suggestions by many sellers here and he informed me that things are being worked on to be improved and some suggestions and requested features are being tested and coming soon.

Thanks to him for considering my and others' feedback and working on improving things.

I had one last LTO transaction left with Dan.

They emailed me many times about this issue, telling me in grandiloquent sentences how great Afternic is, how they do migrations entirely for the benefit of their users, and how they have built a great system.

Of course I simply said no, and continued with Dan.

Same here, we have transfered the domain to them for over 15 days, and also said Tranfer Complete.

They are not DAN or other aftermarket platform. With them you will wait for a long time to get your money, often you have to beg them, remind them. Just look at all those threads here, years old, where people have the same problem. It changed nothing for years. Now this problem will probably be even much bigger because they transferred accounts from DAN to afternic.

The one I mentioned also had the same, I was sent your custom checkout link is expiring email even though I had already received your funds are on your way email 3 days before it ๐Ÿคฃ
I'm the same, GD, AF, Dan and their information is so bad and chaotic

Afternic accepted the push. They now have possession of the domain.

Let's see how long it takes to transfer the domain to the buyer, and get paid.

If you acquired a company with a system customers in your industry tend to love is it not expected that you retain those great features . Like its said you don't change a winning team.
So why is Godaddy not making the best of DAN acquisition?

I sold a domain at the end of Oct., and transfered already that day, now we did not get payment

Don't know what to say since they said it was a top priority to fix it back in September. And the checkout is still slow.
Thanks, @silentg. This continues to be something we're working with multiple teams to address.

Afternic is really broken. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand's up to.

The TA team doesn't know what the customer support is talking about.

My own predicament hasn't been resolved yet. Another month's payout is coming up due. And, the TA team still hasn't figured out previous month's payout. It's as if they don't keep any records. Pretty tiresome Red Tapism.

I am afraid something even more terrible is brewing over there.

After checking in on this, your LTO payout is following a predictable schedule - and your next payout will be following the same schedule. Please take a look at your TA dashboard for the latest status messaging.

Just a precautionary warning for those who use custom checkout link

A buyer sent me this after I sent him custom checkout link on afternic to complete the purchase.

Lucky for me that I had also given him an option to visit the Domain in his browser and complete checkout (he did that 10-20 minutes after this message)

@Afternic can we please replace this experience with Godaddy.com experience sooner?

Thanks for sharing the buyer's experience. We'll be switching to GoDaddy.com URLs for the Custom Checkout Link soon, where buyers have a wider array of available payment options to choose from.

We've had the team take a look through your portfolio. Any recent names you updated are all reflecting the correct landers. What you've likely seen is a brief delay in synchronization after your updates, which were then synchronized successfully.

Please feel free to reach out via DM with any specific examples if you continue to see differently.

Thanks for posting your experience. It didn't live up to the standards we expect from Custom Checkout Link, and we've added a full comment in your thread.

The good news is that we're headed towards switching to GoDaddy.com URLs. This change is designed to create a seamless, single-system approach with improved communication and efficiency for all parties. While we expect this to happen within the next month, this timeline is subject to change.

Afternic listed all my domains as premium.
I emailed them, but they never responded, at least all my previous other issue-related requests were not responded to.
If one of my domains will be sold via Afternic, I will not deliver it if it will be sold as a premium with extra commissions.
