We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

More bugs. Suddenly 114 of my domains were unlisted - not deleted - without me doing anything, and I keep getting logged out even though I check "stay logged in on this device." Shouldn't Afternic's commission be going down instead of up with all these problems?

Thanks for letting us know. We'll ask the Afternic team to review both of the issues you raised.

Right now I cannot bulk unlist (select domains and then unlist), I have to unlist every domain separately on the update details window. Anyway, when I first tried and retried and retried to bulk unlist, during that process I accidentally deleted a couple of names. Now the system doesn't allow me to relist them (says error).

"Please sign in again to continue" many times in an hour. No biggie when the fields autopopulate, but 2FA every freaking time.

Hi, tell us please Will all third-party domains have no advantages with the introduction of boost? What about your arrangements with Atom? If the domains have a Atom DNS, then they will not be displayed in the GD search?

Another thing I noticed in the past few days. When I try to bulk update LTO, it doesn't go through and I get the following error:

Error
Some domains failed to update. Please try again.


The only workaround I tried is to bulk update LTO after I select 50 "Entries" per page in the dropdown menu at the bottom of the "All Domains" page.

I usually update LTO in bulk up to 500 entries per time. Now the maximum is 50 per page otherwise it gives the above error. I don't know if this is a new bug or rule!

@GoDaddy Please fix this issue ASAP.

Suggestions "You may consider for future updates":

1) A bulk LTO option for the entire portfolio similar to the "Bulk Lander Update".

2) Two columns for LTO in the spreadsheet, one accepts Y/N to allow or disallow LTO and the other one accepts the number of months for LTO.

It seems like there are problems with bulk updates in general. I can only list one of the names unlisted by Afternic at a time.

Try to remove expiring or "in review" dn. Should help.

My experience was with newly listed domains, none of them is expired or in review. Though, I always bulk update LTO for all domains with no issues whether they're new, expired, or even in review.

If you are using Firefox, try Chrome. I need to do that every time.

If you are already using Chrome, that's disconcerting.

Maybe CSV uploads are now a feature only for Boosters.

Already tried in incognito mode and with different browsers and the bug persists

@zomainhacks Confirming bulk upload failure here as well.

I was just informed that it is a known issue and the devs are working on adding it Afternic Boost for an additional 5% commission.

I'm only joking about the Afternic Boost part!

It is a known issue though and they are currently working on it.

That is a possibility, but it will always cause a huge delay. Moreover, it can sometimes involve several partial portfolio CSV uploads in a row, which can hardly be conveyed properly to the rep.

Doing it yourself is much more convenient.

Unless it's not working.

@Name2go because we shouldn't have to.
I also prefer to work self-sufficiently. However, I've always had problems with the American csv standards, which don't want to harmonize with my German Excel.
With Afternic, I enjoy the support of a rep who processes my things silently, quickly and correctly. This forces me to manage my domains properly and prevents me from making mistakes in my own settings.
I don't want to gloss over anything and have been annoyed (since 2018?) about many things at Afternic and Godaddy. A capable, willing and trustworthy contact person is a welcome compensation and should not be taken for granted. That must be allowed to be said.

And impossible to setup lto, even with the support.
Also LTO set up my rep for me and it seems to be working. I would have reservations about doing it myself if it were possible.

Just quick question @GoDaddy or anybody.

We don't have to wait for the emails anymore to opt in to the fast transfer network? Usually, I would submit then wait for emails to authorize

I just moved 2 domains from Dan landing pages to GoDaddy/Afternic
NS1.AFTERNIC.COM
NS2.AFTERNIC.COM

First time putting these names on Afternic

Set Buy Now price, enabled Lease To Own

And they show up already at GoDaddy and other Fast Transfer partners like Dynadot.

In the interface it says:
Fast Transfer Eligibility

Eligible​

Fast Transfer Status

Off​


But already showing at GoDaddy and Dynadot when I search for the names.

was possible only one time for me and it takes more than a month to be updated lol

You can try to solve the promblem changing the OS location date standard to the USA

Status report at Afternic at the moment (spoiler: bugs, bugs & more bugs):

- Can't bulk edit landers.

- Custom landers are working for some domains, but for others aren't resolving (everything is set up correctly).

- Fast transfer status is unclear for many domains- some are showing as 'not eligible' or 'opt-in required' for no reason, including many that are regged at Godaddy. Apparently there's a bug and some domains that aren't shown as 'active' in the main dashboard are in fact active, but who the hell knows what's active and what isn't at this point. If it's a bug in the display or if it's really non eligible or opt-in required.

- Opt-in emails for fast transfer often don't arrive and can only be triggered one by one or in small batches. Ironically the problem is only with domains that are registered at Godaddy. (thanks for the incentive to transfer elsewhere)

- Domains are randomly entering 'Review' status for no reason.

- Some of the listed domains don't appear at Godaddy with an exact match search, including domains that are fast transfer 'Active'.

I could go on and on. Bugs, bugs and more bugs. @GoDaddy, does that sound like a functioning platform? Before trying to squeeze more money from your captive clients, how about getting your shit together and providing a good product first and building on that? I'd even settle for a decent product at this point.

Preach! Eventually, Afternic it's gonna be replaced with a better product. It's going to be one of the smaller players. I think Atom, DNWE or Domain.io will become the new kings in the aftermarket. Hell Namepros parking is better at this point. People are gonna sit around for years and years, complaining about bugs and not alienate after it. You'll be long gone before Afternic gets their act together.
