Afternic FT activation not possible !! WHY ?

GUYS WHATS YOUR OPINION ABOUT ISSUE LIKE THIS AND ANYBODY FACE SAME AND DISCOVERED SOLUTION ??

I have an issue with 27 domains registered at godaddy and their FT at afternic not activated , All passed 60 days in my account and some more than 6 months ! All listed at afternic .

Three month ago i contact afternic and they initiated opt-in process for the whole portfolio BUT the 27 domains didn't receive any email to opt-in !!

I contacted godaddy and they said afternic should do the opt-in process and you will automatically receive opt-in emails !!

I deleted this domains and Relisted them again and still i received nothing !!

Recently i asked afternic support to solve the issue and again they initiated the opt-in process for the whole portfolio BUT again that 27 domains still the same !! ( No FT activation emails )


Today i heard new answers from afternic that some of this domains with a transfer prohibited status ! and domains to be FT transfer should be free from any lock ! and changes like updates/renewals will put them in lock with the registrar !!

So changing your P.O.Box or Email or Nameserver from dan to afternic etc .. can cause lock for domains to be FT !!?

How many years i need to wait till status they claim to be clear ??

I feel that godaddy/afternic staff they start saying nonsense once they cant have answer/solution to an issue !!

same problem here for years, they are not able to active FT on networksolutions domains.
A pure waste of time...

they are anot able to change cookie duration for years, so dont expect them changing something's not working in less than a decade....

I have names at NetSol with FT activated although it can take weeks to get the activation email.

I'm having the same issue with domains I have at Porkbun. Very annoying.

Porkbun send the email very fast, after you delete and relist the name on Afternic or Sedo, after 60 days.. They send the email within a few minutes.. That was my experience when I activated my last FT a month ago.

When support said that they randomly checked some of the domains and that they were all currently with a transfer prohibited status, I believe that just means that the domain lock function, which can be toggled on/off, is currently set to 'on' at GoDaddy. The domain being set to locked shouldn't have an effect on whether or not Fast Transfer can be enabled.

Take for instance this domain of mine that is at GoDaddy and shows Fast Transfer status as active on Afternic while it also shows one of the domain statuses as clientTransferProhibited when checking WHOIS.

If I unlock the domain the domain status should just say OK.

Also, Any changes made to the "registrant" contact information on a domain, such as updating the name, company name, or email address, will typically trigger a 60-day transfer lock on the domain, preventing it from being transferred to another registrar during that period; this is due to ICANN regulations to protect against domain hijacking.

If I was to change the nameservers on this domain just now, the Updated Date will change to today's date of October 30th. Just because a domain is updated doesn't necessarily mean it will be locked from that day.

Yes I got the emails within seconds. But it didn't matter that I opted-in, the domains are still in "Opt-in Required" status at Afternic.

All domains at GoDaddy have these status codes:

clientDeleteProhibited
clientRenewProhibited
clientTransferProhibited
clientUpdateProhibited

You have to unlock and turn Privacy off for them to disappear. But why bother? I don't think they matter.

As it relates to the OP and the issues they are having with getting Fast Transfer enabled, I don't think it matters either. That's what I was saying in my previous post and showing them an example to back that up. I think @love4ever was provided some bad info by GoDaddy support.

Afternic provide nonsense when they can’t find answer or solution for the issue .

I recommend contacting them by phone, this is the only way I could get no nonsense assistance, same with GoDaddy.
