Ther are currently 8 .tv names on auction at www.Sedo.com ! Included are USC .tv & Mexicana .tv ( Mexicana- owned by me) Usc .tv is owned by another NP member! Both are at $60! This is your chance to own some great names!
Get your bids in on these ,and some other .tv's. Any guesses on final prices for these two?

Frank :hi:

Mexicana.tv now at $70

Wow: Wien.tv is at $7,000 EUR, with a little over 10 hours to go!!

Sedo has had more & more .tv names at auction over the past month with very varied results, near impossible to predict prices at this stage of .tv

I am very interested to see how Wien.tv will do as it is 1st non English Geo .tv i have seen with a decent offer, 7000 Euros is a good price for any decent Geo right now in my eyes so to get such an offer for the less common spelling of Vienna.tv is excellent. Even if this was Vienna.tv on auction then i would of felt 7,000 Euros was a decent price so to get such an offer for the german spelling is suprising to me, i wonder if it same people who own Vienna.tv buying this??
No matter who buys it i think it's a great sale, will get some of those NP's who bought foreign language .tv Geo's very excited i think. :$:

Good Luck all with your sales.

Indeed , I told you , that there are other languages in the world :)

The time where english was the only one to achieve sales is over from a while :)

You did tell me there wer other languages and i agreed!! :hehe:

You also told me ther ehad been other sales but never showed me any (i am only teasing, i see why you went for the alternative geo's but they were never my thing but glad there is a sign it could pay off)

What interests me is if that Wien.tv is worth 7,00 Euros (approx $10,300) then what would Vienna.tv be worth??

I meant that there have been Geo names in other languages sold , not .tv yet that I was aware but now we do.

Vienna is the best city in Europe for quality of life so I`m not surprised. In the top world cities chart I think that Vienna is every year in the TOP 10.

Ronnie - I think there are a couple of things in play here.

Firstly, there were Premium names that sold last week for good prices but the seller did not disclose their Premium Renewal fees. Then there was Gig.tv yesterday that sold for what many would consider a disappointing price, but the seller did the correct thing and disclosed the Premium Renewal fee.

In the case of Wien.tv, I assume it is a non Premium which would give it a higher price, but it is also in the German language and Germany and other parts of Europe (Spain & Netherlands?) have been keen adopters of the .tv TLD extension.

It is interesting and overall encouraging IMO.

i also believe the same thing

Its more clear now than premium pricing was not made to help
domainers, in fact i believe that they put this prices having in mind that domainers could take all the best domains and resell them after many many yrs of parking.

They want to make money, period.

imo the dont believe that .tv will get that tons of registrations so they are trying to secure their money with premiums and at the same time they are pushing domains to get developed since there is not so many people that wll sit on them while renewal fees are running.

I had some offers but premium pricing scared them away.

I must commend the seller for listing the annual premium of USC.TV (unlike many recent sellers) knowing that his disclosure will put downward pressure on the bidding activity. It will be very interesting to see if it closes at or above it's renewal.

I hope wien.tv goes to the moon!!! I have Wenen.TV which is Vienna in Dutch!!!

Weren't you haggling with mexicana air earlier this year over the name? If I remember correctly it was a decent offer, a far cry form $70... I hope it goes higher for you!

Lets hope those Dutch folks get even more keen and place a bid on Wenen too!

All in all I am glad to see that folks are doing the right thing by placing the renewal fees on their listing.

I am the seller of USC.TV and thank you for the kind words Micro. I've seen too many Sedo auctions where people are not listing the renewal fee. That's one way to turn people off from .TV's very quickly.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with this name. There is the obvious use for a univeristy sports highlight website but you never know what an end-user might come up with.

Here it is:

Domainacrobat: I received a $3,000 offer from someone. He then backed out of the deal. He stated "his lawyer advised him not to buy this domain, because it had been in court", or some other made up crap like that. I think the buyer bought to resell, then couldn't. I could find nothing on any case against Mexicana.tv. I'm sure it had some connection with the flying Mexicana, but who knows.

Frank

Thanks
Frank

I believe USC.tv will be a sleeper. Nothing much will happen until the last day. Then those that know it's a good name will try to pull that last minute "slip in this bid" stuff. Or, they already know, and have there max bid in.
