This is becoming a huge nuisance.

I have been Very active in the .TV Aftermarket, and would like to continue being active but If people DO in fact know of Legacy Premium Renewal fees (that are NOT listed), even if you are NOT the owner, please list them here.

I think It would bring much more action to this auction if along with that list in the O.P. we also had a full list of renewal rates, because I don't know which domains had the forgotten remnewal fees on them, and I don't know if Ahead is correct.

If you know of some domain that is listed withOUT the full disclosure of the actual renewal fees, don't keep it a little secret between you and your pm buddies, Do the Community a Service, and let us all see wtf is the real deal here!

I'd say if you're interested in a domain, just check the whois. If it's pre March 18th it could be premium. If it's post March 18th you're on the safe side.

I used to own sc.tv and sold it at NP and know the renewal is $1,000.

And wu.tv is confirmed by the owner in another thread to be a $500 renewal.

Thanks for the heads up on the premiums and kudos to the owner of xx.tv (he bought that name here at NP) who listed the renewal even before the auction started.

oops.. hadn't read the whole first page of the thread..when I made my post. just the first post, then I went to sedo to look at the auctions. I'm glad the sellers are disclosing that info, I was just about to look at the whois and ahead.tv just in case. I bet a few bids were made without knowing of legacy premiums.

Ya the fact that legacy premiums still exists sucks so...

What about checking the whois for the registrars? Am I correct in thinking that if a .tv was registered at someplace other than enom or verisign prior to 03/18/2010, then it would not have been a premium?

You brought up the problem of the missing Premium fees in this thread, and I agreed it is a problem, so I actually am doing something about it, Creating a list as best as I could of the "actual" investments here in this auction, to help us all in our bidding if we wanted to grab any of these domains.

If you honestly see more missing premiums here...How bout a little help please???

I think you mean by $10000 premium renewal fees, Fast.tv and Sweet.tv
http://www.Fast.TV used to be a $10000 premium but now is a normal reg fee, registered during GoldRush.
I own this domain and I have placed this description on the sedo auction page as well, maybe you ve missed it.

Never much looked at .tv but are those supposed to be good prices?

I'm seeing they're $39.99/yr at GoDaddy and some of these are like $70, that would be like buying a .com for $7 and being excited by a $14 sale wouldn't it?

I was looking at multiples.

$7 domain sold for $14 - 2x
$39.99 domain sold for $79.98 - 2x

If you want to use your way.

$7 domain sold for $37.01 - $30.01 profit (wouldn't be a thread on those type of sales because it wouldn't be a big deal)
$39.99 domain sold for $70 - $30.01 profit

And like you said, you can get them for $10 now, so that would change.

And then you got some where they're selling less for the renewal fee.

But as the other poster said, have to wait till the final sales come in.

Sedo = Caveat Emptor

Should do some research on old domains anyway - most TVs seem to have been held and don't have much history (RussianSlaves.TV however was quite the popular dropped domain).

Tried to give rep to those making effort to create the list... but too popular blah blah.

I will publish the old list for permanence later this evening at my NEW DOT US domain!! HA HA HA......

I think it covers most of the old premiums.

I do believe the above statement to be correct. It doesn't hold in reverse though that all ENOM domains that sound cool are premium.

My suggestion would be for people to put NONPREMIUM In their WHOIS if they're worried. I for one always check whois information.

When calculating returns for .TV domains at SEDO, one needs to consider that to qualify for the 10% commission a name needs to be parked for 60 days and have a fixed price. Otherwise the commission is $50 minimum. A domain in auction would not qualify for the 10% rate because it does not have a fixed price. Thus a $70 SEDO auction sale of a .TV regged at Godaddy would result in a loss. Note that with code GDBB776 Godaddy renewals are $25 annually and discounted 10% initially.
