Hard to say....I have a couple that are pronounceable, but don't get touched.....peyy.com being one of them.

Tons of email asking if I want to sell, I respond to make me an offer, and never hear anything back. I have never given a price, I just ask for an offer and never get one. I have a few like this, and they are all the same type of response.

So I would say that I am soured on the 4L com strategy for now and am just ignoring the ones I do have.

I have seen many high sales, but in all reality, there are plenty of sale threads with no buyers even at what I would call reasonable sub 100 prices.

Showbiz, I think it's probably because of your double y that's causing the buyers to think twice before they decide to make you an offer.

Wait till all the premium ones being snapped up, your peyy will definitely be much more valuable. :)

Sorry, that was just the example of what gets emailed about the most.

My point was more along the lines of......I think people in general don't know what to offer. They want me to say "I want xx for it". So instead of making an offer, they freeze as if I asked them to solve pi.

I look at making an offer the same as asking for someone to pass the butter at lunch. The absolute WORST thing that could happen is that I say no. I have no problem making offers when I write someone for a name. It's just business, and just a commodity. The market will bear a certain price for the different 4L .coms, the problem is that that price seems to be all over the board. Some good ones go high, some go mid range, and others seem to slip by for nothing.

Always ask a price of a minimum of $5000. If they say yes you sell if not they might offer say $400 at which you might also sells as well. If they are time wasters then they just dissapear. But I always give a nice high quote to get things going....

I picked up Pryv.com on TDNAM :) I like it and it's pronouncable. Not the greatest one out there, but I should turn a decent profit.

Also in the middle of escrow for a nice CVCV.com.

I think the values for pronouncables will rise considerably in the next year or two.

I would say that truly premium LLLL.coms are without question increasing in value.

Sorry for going off topic a bit here butโ€ฆ michaelg314, you have a very impressive LLLL portfolio. Wow!! I am going to get personal here :) so you dont have to answer. I am just curious to ask why you are selling it off at this moment in time? LLLL is hot hot hot right now, and will be even hotter after all LLLLs are regged. Right? Wouldnโ€™t selling it off later on make the value even higher? Do you predict otherwise?

Thanks for your time...
Cheers

Like showbiz, I keep getting emails for the price for names like my uheh.com. then when I ask for a offer, I never hear from them again. I guess the trouble is I don't have a clue what names like these are worth.

That being said I don't want to give them away.

I have http://NPry.com and would like to hear what do you think pryv is good for?

Pryv is pronouncable, thats the only reason I got it. Like I said, it's not premium, obviously, but still better than a lot I've seen. It can be pronounced as "Privy".. So I'm thinking its a good brandable word for some sort of security application. Who knows..

I did just pick up Fezo.com as well. Which I think is much much better quality, but then again I paid a pretty penny for it :)

You definitely have some nice premium letter LLLL.coms. Im sure they will continue to rise in value as well.

I have ihuf.com and uhuf.com and had firm offers of $100 for each, but declined as I beilieve they will go much higher.

In the meantime, I'm monetising them anyway so will earn more than the $100 each in only a few months, and start getting PR and traffic.

doggyowner, I absolutely agree. I'm in no rush. I'm always looking to free up some cash for new purchases, that's all.

Domainers that have limited resources like me, just don`t want to offend with low offers.....you want an offer? Here is mine: $20 for peyy.com
You`ll refuse it , but at least you can say you got one :)

You know thats one thing about these domains,
the one who has them doesent want to put a medium bin on them, so they ask for offers instead without any bin. The buyers (who are usually newbies like me) dont know what to quote or where to start.

Its always better to put a price on the range u r looking for, so that a buyer knows that his offer wont be smirked at or ignored.

Just a range of the asked price can really put ur sale going imho.
There was this time when i pm'ed a guy with an offer, and he lashed back at me calling me a "stupid noob" etc on another forum, and told me he has a high offer on it etc. That kinda scared me to put in my offers first.

A general asking range would really be helpful in such cases.

Rohan , some idiots can`t help that, they are what they are.
Some people don`t answer to low offers (define low anyway.....$100 would be a lot of money for a poor person just for example) but yet they leave their domains listed at SEDO or Afternic with "minimun sale price" $60

Some people are rude , regardless of how rich they are.

Some people don`t know how to be a kind salesperson, in real life too I`m sure you met several of them during your shopping.

It`s just life.

Well, it is a good sign that for even mediocre llll.com domains people are interested and contacting you in regards to possibly acquiring them. If nothing else it should give you incentive to hang on to them for a while maybe even dev.. gl
