33,000+ NNNNNN.COMs was registered by Mr. Xie from Sep. 13 to 14. Many domainers from China are searching 6 digits coms and selecting those unregistered ones to register. It is almost a certain thing that all 6 digits coms will be registered before 2017.

From what I can gather they are practically the luckiest numbers in the world.

Looks like 999888.com + .net are developed as a major gambling portal, whilst 888999.com + .net are on sale for $5m.

Perhaps owning these will bring me some good luck one day

Ordinarily, the importance of extentions in China is as this: com/cn/com.cn/net/net.cn/cc or org/info or biz or any others.

Little value. but these days http://www.22.cn/RegPrice.html is selling .cc names at CNY 17/yr, even CNY 170 for 10 years. So .cc names is becoming hotter and hotter right now. But I think it is a bubble.

Because I am in the middle of searching 6Ns without 0 and 4 and still no one available and believe there will not be.
Even more - there are only a few patterns left and they are all with 4 or 0, for example:

Being of Chinese origin myself, I would like to recommend using 6, 8, 2 and 9 more, those are good numbers in Chinese, 0 is neutral, 4 sometimes ok, but 4 also has the same sound of " Death", however some combination of 4 are fine, for instance 148 - meaning " prosperous all your life".

As you already know and as I can see all 4096 6N.com domains with the combination of 6829 are already registered. So much for the chinese takeover hype. Only few lucky users would get good offers and other domains would just expire most probably.

Agreed. Only some good combinations of 6 N will be traded. Because of the Chinese language, some number strings are very easy to remember or has special meanings, or have the same sounds of some slangs, etc. Those will be sought after even though they are long, beside those 888999 generally with high demands.
