25000 hits per month

I have a site, chatbox.ws that gets 25000 hits per month or more. Usually around 1000 hits per day, and I have yet to monetize it. Any suggestions on expediting the monetization aspect?

I would always try the most obvious first, Adsense - no reason why you couldn't use a mixture i.e. Adsense & Affiliates - it's all about testing to find the best results - different sites respond differently to variation of monetization methods and without experimenting no optimum result can be anticipated.

Are you getting your main traffic through Social Networking sites? It seems that way to me.

The site doesn't really match the domain name. I went to the site and I see a picture of cats, and a bunch of links to articles that have nothing to do with the site. Googles bots are programmed to notice stuff like that and if your sites content isn't relevant to your domain name, you get put in the sandbox.

All traffic is not created equal You need to put Google Analytics on it for a few days and study the traffic that comes in. What countries are they from? What keywords are bringing them over? Once you analyze the traffic, you'll have a better idea of how to monetize it.

I agree. Starting off I would start with AdSense, but before that you should put some type of plug-in on your site to actually see where your traffic is going once they land on your website, therefore you can know where to actually put the ads at.

Regarding the "plug-in" I mentioned above, I'm not quite sure of the name but it's similar to a heat map.

From there test out a general offer that would appeal to the majority of your traffic, therefore allowing you to see results regardless of your traffic/visitors demographics.

So start with this post and the posts above this one, regarding analyzing your Google analytics.

All in all, this will allow you to work smarter and remember to keep testing and tweaking. Because 25,000 visitors a month is no small feat and actually would be considered an asset. So capitalize on that and feel free to update us with your latest results.

what makes you say that? where did google say - your content needs to be relevant to your domain name? where did you find that?
as far as i know - domain name has nothing to do with your content rather your title needs to be relevant to you webpage content.

It is really very confusing/unbelievable that a autblog type site like yours gets 1000 hits/day or 25,000/month!!!! how do you get your traffic?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexa have this at 18,540,142 ............sounds like B.S until you can convince us else wise , however this is one way of getting extra traffic

Yeah, it looks like total bs. I wouldn't be surprised if it was posted on here just to get 8 or 10 of us to type it in for some extra traffic, maybe a client he's doing SEO for.

The website is a mess and hardly has any coherence. I cannot imagine there would be any traffic. Although maybe some of those random articles are well positioned in the SERPS. High bounce rates will likely prevent that in the future, which will inevitably occur.

Back to the original question though. Go Adsense, test it out and see what works.
