25 cent .info names

Hi,

Just passing on some info i found about elb.com who are offering .info names for only 25 cents. can be paid using paypal aswell...

Hm, changed mine after they were regged.. no charge

They charge to change the MX records, etc.

Reg'd a few domains, but forgot to specity the nameserver on a couple during the registration process. The notes on screen say the NS can be changed at any time through the control panel, but it doesn't seem that way to me without paying 90 cents for DNS management. Does anyone know how to change their default settings to one of our choice?

Turns out ELB.com themselves are an ICANN accredited registrar as advertised on their homepage

They are listed on ICANN Accredited Registrars list:

Ok it seems to be working now? How wonderful, but please be warned I and other forum users have sent several emails to this company asking for our money back and asking for an explaination but to this day they have not gotten back to us. You see it may work "for a while" to lul people in but don't be supprised it it suddely "stops" working. I have reported this site to directi and they are looking into it. Also paypal are on my side as they refunded me the money and yes I also payed with paypal.

I hate "the scam". I don't hate scammers I just hate what they do and let me assure you if I was running this business and my site was not working for "one" day I would refund all moneys immediately especially if there were multiple email complaints. Now what is to say that your domain does not suddenly "dissapear" or the site is suddely shutdown then what? All good to a few .25c domains for now but what happens if tommorow they are gone?

Anyway enough from me, who knows maybe they are legit, maybe their email wasn't working on that "one" day also? (although they didn't bounce). OR maybe just maybe the person is monitoring these and other forums as he is in the domain business and wants to get some good threads going before doing the "big" ripoff?? Who knows it is all specualtion and time will answer all these questions but for now atleast hear my warning.......BEWARE!!!

Just as a friendly aside, I already left you Rep for this, but probably wouldn't have if I'd first seen you asked for it.. dunno why. Just grates on me and might bother others too if you out and ask for it. Just a pet peeve of mine.. sorry!

To stay on topic, I bought 5 .info's last night. Site was fast.. I encountered an error with the account confirmation link but ignored it and was able to log in anyway and administer my account. All seems to be working fine.. thanks again!

Anyone having problems modifying their name servers, follow this:

Go to www.retailstudio.com and log in to your account... got to Jump To Domain text box and enter your domain and select Domain Registration Service from the drop down, then click on Modify Name Server on the page it takes you to.
