Going on news, the fact that the bill also just passed in my own state, and what I’ve seen happening in domains over the last several months.

However, just a prediction as the OP asked for.

No Worries, but people tend to react to exactly what they hear in the news, but you have to understand there are big donors in Vegas that have the ear of the current administration which is very receptive to forwarding the concerns of their big donors. I have seen people react to a certain news article without considering that there are always two sides to each new rule change. It might seem great for the overall masses, but there is a small percentage that is going to lose a lot of money, but the pockets of that small percentage outweigh that of the masses, but just there are always two sides to each prediction. It's 2020 it's silly certain jurisdictions in the same Country have access to it, whereas others don't from a legal point of view it makes no sense. These guys are very good at passing everything, then hanging on a single contingency for years that derails the whole process.

Here are my predictions ( which some of them might sound as if I am making an announcement since they make so much sense logically ) :

NamePros will have its first AI member, capable of interacting on the forum just like everyone else.

Global conflicts (Wars) will cause many Internet outages, some intentionally and some unintentionally which will disrupt life as usual around the World (Make sure your top premium domains are renewed for at least 3 to 5 years in advance).

Governments around the World will lose patience and will rein in Technology and the Internet after having to deal with so much scandals, conspiracies, hackings, sabotage and unfair practices in the Tech and Digital assets (including domains) related areas.

The good news is that more and more people are going to become interested in domain names thus increasing the value of domains in certain popular extensions (including some of the New gTLDs), but the bad news is that the law might put a cap on the number of domains that one can own.

All of these things might not happen in 2020 , but logically they are expected to take place sooner or later.

If you don't like my predictions then don't ask me to predict anything.

Fortunately, there will be workarounds, as usual. The totalitarian version of the Internet is still looming on the horizon. Sunlight is a fine detergent and is keeping that nonsense at bay.

It is coming but the DAPP browser that wins will also resiliently resolve conventional domains. It is not yet clear what that will be called.

I am hopeful that the censors will control themselves but if they don't the workarounds will be ready for commercial deployment.

My Prediction is Simple

New members will join namepros in 2020

Alot of domain sales will be reported at the completed sales report thread.

Some deviants will be banned on namepros for misbehaving and unethical practices.

Suprise sales will happen and will be reported here.

A New domain craze will happen.


CBD industry will soar.

More hype will happen and people will lose money while other lucky few will hit jackpot and cashout.

Alot of Newbies will make money.


Above all 2020 will be great for Everyone. I have a strong feeling that it is going to be a breakthrough year for many.

Yes, Dapp browsers will have the ability to communicate with web3 technology and DNS. Although, with Web3 there will be more features of interaction that has the potential to revolutionize agreements and value exchange.

The tides are shifting, the large tech companies have censored and invaded our privacy, they have abused us with pages of Tos. As result of the abuse there is a great incentive for decentralized developers to work around the centralized adversaries. New companies will emerge and as a result new opportunities abound. Exciting times indeed.

I am actually working on a blog post on the topic, and some of the predictions here may get highlighted on that post. I trust this is acceptable, but if anyone who posts here objects to a part of your prediction being highlighted, just let me know, and I will be sure to follow your wishes.

Perhaps the time will come where the Big domain brokers (Sedo/GoDaddy/Dan, etc) will work with each other, and the thousands of private Domainers, and the entire industry will become like a well oiled machine....instead of the Top dogs feeding off the little guys. Epik, Bodis, and many of the lesser known Private Domainers will outshine based on customer service, and the ability to confer directly with contacts. No more cloak and dagger, this industry needs Transparency to succeed.

I predict namepros will increase its membership by 1.5 x its present member count.
I also think that logic will rise in the industry bringing with it a stabilizing price for many of the liquid domains.

They say Hind Sight is always 20/20. We will see if this is true about the year also. hmmm. cheers.

These areas will see huge sales.
Some alternatives to cryptos will become prominent like Initiative Q/Saga since they'll cooperate with govts unlike cryptos
