https://www.namesilo.com/account_domains.php on your domain control panel, you can export a CSV file of your domain list, it has also authentication codes for expired names.
Just wanted to say thanks. For those wondering if this works. It does and still does. This worked for me today in October of 2023. NameSilo's message for an expired domain in your account is a bit misleading. When you try to change "The only domain function for expired domains is to renew." Technically once your domain expires the only thing you can easily do with the domain is to renew it. They won't let you push or transfer out, view an authorization code or change name servers etc.
If you attempt to change a setting within the Domain Console in the Domain Manager you'll be told the only thing you can do is renew. As long as your within the expired grace period you can still transfer out. You can contact support and ask for help, or you can do it yourself by exporting the CSV file which will contain a valid epp authorization code for you to transfer out.
Here's how I bypassed the "the only domain function for expired domains is to renew." message. (It just means they no longer make it convenient to transfer out once a domain has expired.)
1. Turned off the "Domain Defender" setting.
I typically use NameSilo's Domain Defender setting to prevent unauthorized changes to domains. I temporarily turned this off just in case it would cause issues with the transfer. (You can re-enable after transferring out.)
2. Unlock the Expired Domains.
If your domains are locked you need to unlock them to prevent issues with transferring out. I did this within the bulk list of all my account domains within "Domain Manager" in my Namesilo account. I simply checked the box for all expired domains I wanted to unlock and then chose "Unlock Domains" at the top. NameSilo unlocked them automatically without the need to request it via support.
3. Download the CSV file for all of your domains as cyc described.
It will probably ask you if you want to include the epp authorization codes with the export. Be sure to say select OK or otherwise confirm you want the codes included. The generated CSV file will contain valid EPP authorization codes for your expired domains.
4. Transfer out using the authorization codes and domain name at the new registrar as you normally would.
5. Wait 5 days or Manually Approve the Transfer:
NameSilo will typically send you an email in about 15 minutes or less notifying you of the pending transfer request. The email will provide a link to reject the transfer or you can do nothing and wait. The email says the transfer will auto approve and conclude in about 5 days. You don't need to wait 5 days. You can manually approve the outgoing transfer in your NameSilo account and have your outgoing transfer completed in about 15 minutes or less.
In your NameSilo account visit the "Transfer Manager" section. Eventually it will display all pending outbound transfers you have successfully initiated. It can take 5 to 15 minutes or so for outbound transfer requests to appear here, so just be patient.
Your pending outgoing transfers will appear at the bottom of the page under the "Pending Outbound Transfers" section. Once a transfer shows up here you'll see the option to click a button or box to manually force the approval of any pending outbound transfers. Approve any outbound transfers you want to manually approve and expedite. You should receive a message that the NameSilo system will auto-approve the transfer at the first possible opportunity, typically in about 15 minutes.
Once an outgoing transfer successfully completes, the name will be removed from your Name Silo "Domain Manager" domain list. You should receive a confirmation email from the new registrar and the domain should appear in your account there.
I hope this helps others see it
is possible to transfer out an expired name even though NameSilo seems to say you can't.
