Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Bummer Keith. Sad this happened to your client, and that it happens from so many 'desperate' so called domainers.
There is selling and there is spamming - two different thingsPersonally, I have not emailed any potential customers with any of my cannabis names.... But, I don’t see any problem in doing so!
I understand people being upset with “spam” emails, but it sounds like Keith’s clients are a little whiny and need to grow up. I applaud and commend any domainer who is out there trying to sell their names!
Isn’t that what we’re all supposed to be doing?
Keith, I have found your posts to be useful and helpful. And having asked for some advice from you in the past, you readily and graciously responded with some helpful tips. But, I think expecting people to not send emails to potential buyers is somewhat counterproductive... it’s tantamount to trying to sell your home without contacting a realtor, doing any advertising or putting a for-sale sign up in the front yard and just hoping that one day somebody knocks on the front door and asks if they can buy your home..... not impossible, but certainly not very likely!
This makes no sense!! No one would of known ‘who the potential buyer’ was to contact if Keith didn’t post the name of what he sold! He didn’t tell them who he sold the name to, they chased down who it was ‘hoping maybe’ they would want to buy their names too.I think expecting people to not send emails to potential buyers is somewhat counterproductive... it’s tantamount to trying to sell your home without contacting a realtor, doing any advertising or putting a for-sale sign up in the front yard and just hoping that one day somebody knocks on the front door and asks if they can buy your home..... not impossible, but certainly not very likely!
Got an email from a company I just did a deal with. They have been bombarded with desperate requests from folks trying to sell domains. Due to this I’m no longer posting sales here.
Also, if your domain is quality you don’t need to chase down potential buyers. If you find yourself emailing someone with scraps, you should quit domaining.

I think you're right that we should not include any name containing 'farm'. Maybe 'farms' at the end (i.e. trinityfarms) and different variations of farm (farm, farmer, farming, etc.) as an exact match name (i.e. farming.org).Great list @wrolie
Only keyword that I find "confusing" maybe too generic is "farm"...
If this was mine, I would make a directory of doctors (MDs) that are pro cannabis and try to sell ad space.I own DrCanna///org

And with your example, you are saying instead of doing their own work to sell their own names (home), once a seller or ‘realtor’ tells them they sold a certain ‘home’, it’s fair game for other sellers to then search out that buyer of it, and try to sell them theirs too?!? Because...that’s what buyers do after searching out and buying something they wanted, they want to then be bombarded with ‘unsolicited’ spam selling offers of insuperior things they’re not interested in??!?!?
Sorry but you’re way wrong on this.
Let us all know next time you buy a home, car, whatever, so others will know you’re now fair game to spam you with their offers to sell you their home, car, or wharever.
It is incredibly unfortunate that people started spamming the buyer. I appreciated the information that Keith has posted in the past. It is encouraging to see the major sales. (I'm still jealous when he picked up canna shop.) I fully understand his decision. That is one of the reasons why I post information about my sales, but not the domain name.
No spin. Your post quoted my replying post to Keith's post. That you didn't realize what my reply was referring to, well...
All is good though.
