Dreamhost:
Excellent price for 1st year (they let customers make their own coupon codes, so find someone who will give you a $97 dollar off code, which is the max). Steep price to renew, but you'll like them so much, and have so many domains set up (unlimited) you won't want to bother switching.
I get a response within minutes usually from customer service. One one occasion, it took about an hour to fix a problem.
Custom RSS feed with news about problems that may affect your site
Their own control panel (not cpanel, which I find kind of confusing sometimes).
One-click installs of major free scripts, like wordpress, joomla. One click update install on all of those as well.
WebFTP (new version, very sleek) lets you fix problems when away from home.
Newsletters are never dull. They throw professionalism out the door, make jokes left and right, and are sometimes unintelligible. But you don't care when you are reading it, because you actually read the newsletter, so you get the news. How many newsletters do you find yourself reading beginning to end?
Easy domain management. This is where I think cpanel is confusing, but I didn't toy around with it long before switching to dreamhost, so it may really not be that confusing.
