RE: Autonomous & Driverless car domains

Seems like there's a lot of news lately, as recently as the last few days, of advances in driverless & autonomous cars. There are multiple auto makers getting ready to launch some form of these cars, and of course, Google is working on their project car.

I have a handful of domains related to this news & technology, and I am wondering if anybody else has any? Also, any spike in traffic to your domains, or news of sales???

You have got an offer for these? Great.. Is that an Inbound?
Yes, all bundled. Selfdrivetruck was the only one I didn't want to let go this early and probably the one that generated the offer and counters. The others were probably throw ins.

I got SelfDriveWagon, expecting it would have some value...

Alphabet Creating Stand-Alone Self-Driving Car Business

Google parent likely to roll out self-driving cars incrementally over the next several years, says X chief Astro Teller.

“The world is going to have cars that are sold to individuals and cars that are shared by individuals, and which one Alphabet does, we have our thinking on it,” he said. “But right now we’re very focused on safety.”

Mr. Teller said Alphabet’s cars will be fully autonomous from the start. “You press a button and tell the car where you want to go,” he said.
I like the future car sharing aspect of the auto industry as well and went in on these dot coms:

Yes imo the business model lots of these companies will look at is uber.

Car/Ride sharing will create ongoing revenue for these companies after the cars have been sold.

Taxi services will be a real money maker as well in this industry.

Google Auto Is Google’s Secret Car Company’s Name

Look out Ford and GM, Google Auto is your latest competition.

Google registered Google Auto, LLC in 2011 as the name of its autonomous car division, according to documents obtained by The Guardian.

Google Auto is listed as the manufacturer of all 23 of Google’s self-driving Lexus cars, and applied for each car’s vehicle identification number (VIN).

Google said in January it is looking for established automakers as manufacturing partners, even though Google Auto is registered as a passenger vehicle manufacturer in the U.S. and abroad. Google hasn’t named any such partners yet, however.

Chris Urmson was appointed head of Google Auto in May 2014 and took control of day-to-day operations of the company. Urmson was formerly the project lead for Google’s self-driving cars. The very next day, Google announced that it was going to build 100 prototype self-driving cars from scratch, without steering wheels, accelerator or brake pedals.

Paperwork filed by Google Auto with the NHTSA, and seen by The Guardian, indicates that the cars are designed with rear-wheel drive, and each wheel has its own braking system. The cars are powered by a modest 20-30kW electric motor from a lithium ion battery. Google’s manufacturing partner, the engineering firm Roush, has assembled all the cars built so far on the outskirts of Detroit, Michigan.

Big congrats and well waited for.
Thanks bro! Yep it took a month to close the sale due to being locked. As it was a 1 month old drop and needed another 1 month to unlock. Thus the escrow has been paid for but had been pending since a month.

So the transfer just completed today.

Turned down a combined $2000 offer for the below domains:

self-driving taxi (.com)
self-driving taxis (.com)
self-driving cab (.com)
self-driving cabs (.com)
self-driving buses (.com)

I explained these are grammer correct exact match domains, the exact spelling that is written in all the articles plastered over the internet. The same exact match spelling that google and other big companies have actually branded on the side/back of their cars in this period of testing these vehicles. And the same exact match keyword that a lot of important industry inside experts have used when writing social media messages.

I highlighted that when a company chooses their brand it is not just about which word gets typed into search engines. If google or another big company ends up branding their cars "self-driving" then other companies looking to get into the space will see the brand word "self-driving" as relevant.

Mercedes-Benz had no issues in branding their company or website with an hypen.

I also noted that to get a relevant keyword domains, end users even buy hypenated domains even when they are not grammer correct. So I am sure grammer correct keywords can have a decent chance of a good future ROI. I quoted the following sales:

hotel-reservation.com......... $209,916

free-sms.de.......................... $162,150

online-casino.de................... $144,900

online-games.com............... $48,000

online-gambling.co.uk......... $44,657

Now I am not saying my domains are/aren't worth a certain figure. But to me I feel future potential ROI is worth more than under the $500 per domain I have been offered.

Great to see people having success in this niche already though, congrats to those who have already mada a good ROI :)

Bro I am normally a guy who looks to make multiple money in future than quick cash now, however the facts are very clear int hai niche.
1) The realistic implementation of this would take several years or a decade to the least.
2) There is only one buyer in the whole industry who is Sean, any and every domain that has been sold of any value has been bought by him.

I would personally advice you to take a heavy heart and let it go. You still get 2000$ profit on hand regs a month or two back which should be good enough.

Regardless if sean is an active reader of this thread , i also think @NamePov should sell but i believe he can get more for it :)

Only the taxi name is worth more .

In 2016 there is only one buyer in the whole industry who is an investor himself. End users havn't entered the game as yet.

On you're advice you're saying I may have to wait 5 yrs for a substantially higher offer?

Lets do the math, 5 x $10 = $50 x 5 = $250

Even 10 yrs = $500

I am glad you didn't advise the people who owned these names, they would have tried hunting you down lol:

hotel-reservation.com......... $209,916

free-sms.de.......................... $162,150

online-casino.de................... $144,900

Only the taxi name is worth more .

Lots of people would see "taxis", "cab", "cabs" as a relevant keywords Elad in this industry.

You can't see a taxi firm in the future with a sign on their vehicle saying:

Self-driving Taxis
Self-driving Cabs

?

I have already seen many google images already with self-driving car on the side of vehicles.

But I suppose companies like google don't know about branding.

As always appreciate the advice of members of this forum :)

Will I definitely get an higher offer of $2000 for these combined domains in the future? No

But I am not in desperate need for $2000 so I am willing to take the gamble.

BTW, forgot to mention I aleady turned down a low $x,xxx offer for self-driving taxi (.com) on it's own which is why I don't wan't to include that in a deal as yet.
