thanks for your quick reply. i actually contacted fabulous.com suport and they told me specifically this does not prevent transfer out. so my bug report to you whereby you still show domains with this status as LOCKED... still stands. glad to help out.

one more thing for now: I know that the name of the game for you is to be present/have accounts on as many registrars as possible. so pushes to your escrow can be easy... and transfers avoided... so may a client of yours/seller request yuo open an account on fabulous.com or is this too much to ask? many thanks

Unfortunately, that is up for our escrow department to decide. It is best to contact one of your transfer specialists to verify this or forward the request. As they process escrow on a daily basis escrow will know which registrars are feasible to use and which might be too time-consuming.

Dear @Coindoji,

The option to remove the boxes have already been made available to our users since last week. Simply change your setup in your meet the seller box of the general settings. In addition, the make offer on lease to own will not be made available now.

so to confirm: do you intend to make an option that will still let us disable boxes but keep things like show bio or show other domain open.. or disabling boxes will always exclude the other stuff too? ty.

ok thnks. i can officially confirm following caling them, fabulous.com presently has an unlock issue. in case you run into more problems with other sales. people need to call them to manually remove clientupdateprohibited flag. and though their support wrote me in ticket it doesn't affecr transfer. well. it does. and we need to call to remove it. ty for yer help.

My 2k portfolio on DAN has not been getting much traction. Now, boom all of a sudden, several sales. I recently checked the "redirect to internal marketplace" or whatever the box is called, after a suggestion about that. Can DAN share data on conversion rates between these options?

Great to hear you have made several sales! I do not have the exact data when it comes to sales with our without our redirect. However, we do strongly recommend it as our support continuously receives inquiries from your buyers before proceeding with their purchases. In many cases, our support is crucial in converting the leads into sales. It, therefore, is highly recommended to always opt for chat support.

According to the main page reports, the sales overall have certainly sped up. Wish Dan would report the prices too, showing the names sold and not disclosing the prices is kinda half-assed.

@LaszloSchenk Any data on why we do not have the chat box option for the landing page which just has the domain for sale details without the internal redirect? Buyers could still utilize that chat box for queries, isn't it?

If you are referring to why we do not offer the chat option without the internal redirect the answer is simple. We have too many unique landing pages to be able to offer the chat on all pages individually. At least at this moment.

Am seeing error message in red bar at top in DAN account admin "Client state can't be blank." - What does this refer to? I don't understand what the error means.

I just encountered this as well. I sent an email to support....

UPDATE! I just found the problem I think - my state was missing on the https://dan.com/users/settings/billing page. I could have sworn it was there but I added it and the error message went away!

howdy.... this is my 3rd mention of this... so it goes back a while now...
frankly, I do not understand how you see no urgency in fixing this. I mean what is the purpose of alowing people to have a public folio link, if you are going to randomly cut and cap the number of domains in it at 500.

any chance you can fix this.. or if not, then to prevent viewers of such folios from being misled with incomplete list of domains, perhaps you can consider disable this feature completely? at least for people with more than 500 domains.. so others are not affected or upset. ty.

Buyer doesn't want to complete registering on that registrar. 2 months later I sent the auth code via DAN chat window but it seems buyer no longer cares. And now I'm stuck at this point. It's a 3-word name sold at $30 only so there's no way I would want to renew this name when the expiry date comes, but I can't sell it anywhere else because the deal is considered to be still ongoing since buyer already paid.

What can be done about this?

I'm confused what the purpose of "redirect" option is for. Can you please explain in simple terms as possible? What are the advantages/disadvantages and how does it affect the landing page experience for the potential buyer? Thanks

Game changing idea? I have a feature suggestion for DAN > Introduce an auction option for domains where admin/domain owner can set a domain to be on sale via auction (can specify auction duration, min bid, reserve, but it now etc.) The landing page would show the current auction status, with countdown til ending date/time, current bid price, etc). DAN already is going for their own marketplace (smaller version of GoDaddy, so why not go ahead and give an auction option for domain owners as well?)

Seems like difference between offers and bids is really semantics, except with auction the viewers/buyers can see best pending offers, which will increase desirability of domain name.

What do you guys think about this idea?

Thank you for the reminder.

As indicated before, the product team was made aware of and has it listed for improvement. However, we have quite a list of aspects we would like to change and prioritize them accordingly. For the time being, it is not required to deactivate it as you can personally disable your public portfolio when desired.

The difference is that with the redirect enabled your buyers are granted to benefits of a chat support. All users who use the redirect on average experience higher sales as their users can submit any questions they might have before purchase. In turn, our support can take their doubts away ensuring the purchase will be made.

Are you aware that the chat support icon does not appear when using AdBlock, AdGuard or other ad blocking browser extensions? This seems problematic for DAN chat intended support functionality due to the fact that over 20% of internet users today use some sort of ad blocking tools.

Seems like DAN should figure out a solution to this so the chat function works regardless of ad blockers.

DAN would be well positioned to surpass Flippa for domain marketplace sales if an auction option is introduced for sellers. Flippa platform has needed improvement for sometime but they seem to be focusing more on websites/business brokering than domains at this point.
