I am thinking of trying https://www.efty.com/

I'm wondering if I can get some pros and cons from members.

I have almost 300 domains so these some of the items I would like to discuss before signing up.

1. Getting the information in via excel seems to be the best option, is that correct?

2. Do I have to transfer the domain to efty or just change nameservers?

3. If I only change name servers then I have added more work because I have to maintain dates and prices in efty plus watch my registrar.

4. They seem to be in bed with Escrow and the buy now function looks like it depends on that. Is there another way to do buy now? I have my own payment processing machine and I use it or bank transfers.

5. Are there any other costs other than the quoted monthly fee.

6. Even using the excel spread sheet it looks like an awful lot of work to get everything in when there are 300 domains involved. Is it worth the time and effort on top of information already supplied by my registrar?

7. Is there a similar service and how do their tools compare?

8. Uniregistry looks like it may have similar services and ultimately it would be easier to manage the domains right from the registrar but I'm not hot on paying a 15% commission on sales. Discuss Uniregistry advantages if any.

PLEASE NOTE: Stay on topic here because I don't want to clutter up this thread with bantering.

If you have any legitimate questions about Efty to add please continue the red numbering sequence with the next number starting at #9.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can still see the offers if they do not confirm the email. Go to INSIGHTS / INQUIRIES

NOTE: I have the lowest paid plan on an annual subscription -- so not sure if that feature is there for the Trial version...

DN
Oh wow! Thanks for this. I see all kinds of inquiries I wasn't aware of. Very cool feature. Talk about a pleasant surprise! I'm going to be busy tonight! Lol

Hi guys,

Please check whether all your domains are correctly redirecting to YOUR default landing page or not.

I recently bought a domain that was previously owned by another efty user and they haven't removed it from their marketplace, I have added the domain to mine and set the nameservers but it redirects to the other user's landing page! I have contacted Doron and I'm sure he will sort this out.

That's a big problem we have here. If Efty starts removing domains that expire from the marketplace than we will have to re-add them after renewal. And what if someone sells a domain to a re-seller but doesn't remove it from his efty marketplace?

Check all your domains guys.

Hi everyone. To prevent hijacking of other's For-Sale landing pages we have a review system in place for newly added domains that are also listed in another user account. So whenever you add a domain name to your account that is already listed in another Efty user his account it is placed under review. You can check this by looking at the Status of your domain name in your Efty account. Instead of Portfolio it will say "Under review"

Our system then performs a Whois lookup to try and verify the most recent owner of the domain name and once done the domain name will show the correct For-Sale landing pages. This usually gets done within a very short time but sometimes we are unable to verify ownership right away because the Whois is not yet showing you as the owner of the domain just yet - which is what happened in @Haris his case.

If you find that a newly added domain name is Under review in your account you can always email [email protected] with proof of ownership to speed up the verification process.

Look out for absent contact email on recent submissions. I have told Efty.

Been a while since I have been on this topic but I visited Efty today and saw they has a $19.95 plan that includes a white label.

Does that mean it removes the Efty favicon as well as the Efty branding?

Question two: can the favicon be customized?

It removes the Efty branding in the footer of your marketplace site. Some examples can be seen at https://www.namegalaxy.com/, https://az.xyz or https://brandablebusiness.com/ - allowing for a custom favicon is a logical next step towards more customization.

Perfect, I was going to rub that in a bit. You're asking $19.95 for a white label site. For that kind of money monthly it had better be a white label site.

Really glad to see it's been implemented. (y)

I don't post every single sale... but EFTY has been awesome! Have had many sales come through the landing pages, especially when forwarded to my site's domains' offer pages.

I agree! Efty is the best! My sales have gone up dramatically since I joined. Thank you!

@pokainc @BrandBoogie Do you guys put BIN prices on your landing pages?

Don't get me wrong, I love Efty but for different reasons, I don't understand how Efty's landing page is helping you make more sales, my sales are the same as they were when I used Bodis.com's free landing page.

Efty's landing pages are great, much better than any other I have seen, but how do they increase sales unless there are some tweaks you apply.

I use Efty because I need a website/marketplace and landing pages are just an added benefit.

At the moment I haven't put prices.
1- I can put logos which I like...
2- the color scheme you choose can impact buyer's inclinations
3- Payoneer is integrated
4- I have the domains forwarded with one click to the offer pages of the respective domains directly on my site, which makes it look more trustworthy as they can see it's not just a one off domain that we offer
5- Any issue is taken seriously and resolved quickly
6- The layout is clean

I also have most domains listed on major marketplaces also mostly at BIN... I don't limit myself

I haven't tried the bodis system.. mainly because I started off with Efty and it went pretty well. At the end of the day, it's your domains that sell or don't sell, the rest may influence some people... just like when you go into a store that everything is thrown everywhere vs a clean layout.. shows respect

I have a minimum offer and BIN on most of my listings.

I had parked my domains at Sedo, and then Bodis before Efty. I just think it's easier for people to see that your domain is for sale.

I also like how you can add a logo (as pokainc states). I like how easy it is to use. Plus their customer service is outstanding.

Whenever we agree on a price I just tell the buyer that I will change the BIN to that price. They just need to click on the BIN and it will automatically take them to Escrow.com. Very simple.

Is there or will there be an option for a monthly plan at some point? Instead of a just a yearly annual fee? Like adobe or hostgator, if there was an option for a pay per month plan, I wouldn't have as much hesitation to pull the trigger and keep my domains up on Efty.

Just a thought.

@WillW, there is a monthly plan...where it says billed annually, there's a triangle to click as a dropdown menu and you can choose monthly (it's a little bit more, but you can pay monthly)

@Doron Vermaat
How do I see the Status of any domain name that needs "REVIEW"? I just added about 250 names to my Efty Market Place, and I want to check if any of them went into "REVIEW" status (instead of Portfolio Status).

There's no easy way to see this currently this but if you email us with your account details we can have a look for you.

I don't like the new process/results that was added to remove the email verification. In the past, I could always look at Insights / Inquiries to see everyone that submitted an Inquiry. One of the features there was the column VERIFIED (Yes/No). This told me that the person submitting the inquiry has actually received an email from Efty, and clicked the VERIFY in the email to trigger Efty to send me the Inquiry (as Verified). So I know when I get an email that the submission was from someone who actually gets emails from the address they included on the Inquiry Submission.

The new feature to turn off Verification simply auto-updates that VERIFIED column to YES and I get the email immediately. However, the submission is labeled as "VERIFIED" when in fact it is NOT VERIFIED. This was very lazy coding in order to push the email to me. I have no idea if the submission was actually verified. I wasted a lot of time and a nice reply email yesterday only to get a "could not deliver" email because it was a bogus email address. I suspected it might have been a BOT or Idiot submitting the Inquiry, but since the EFTY page told me it was VERIFIED, I went along and replied to the email.

Surely, your coders can do this the right way. Push the email immediately, and only update the VERIFIED when the submitter actually verifies the email.. Until then, I have turned VERIFICATION back on.

Regards,
DN

Can we set the escrow.com fees preference for each domain?

For some domains with BIN the buyer is going to pay the fees but for others I am going to pay the fees, this is causing problems.

Under settings preferences there is a payment option tab to set as a default . Choices are buyer pays, seller pays or split 50/50. You chose one option for all your transactions as of now.

I know, but I don't want that.. I have 2 negotiations going on.. one where I will pay the fees and the other where buyer will pay fees. If I set one preference and both buyers would initiate escrow, there will be problems.

I see. I would set one buy it now at a time then and change the settings in between.

That's what I'm doing currently, but it would be better if we could change fees preference for each domain separately. @Doron Vermaat
