Should NamePros add a Domain Beginners Guide ?

Here @ NamePros we have many very good posts about Domain Names,

but i couldnt find any Guide

Wouldn,t it be nice to have a Domain Beginners Guide ?

To motivate more people to learn the Business and join our Community ?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Do you mean NamePros should start publishing it's own domaining guides?

yes

here are some good and expirienced ( key ) people from the domain industry ( Eric Lyon )

i mean it would be great to create a professional Guide for Domain Beginners

when i recommend to my friends the NamePros Website ( from Fitness or Social Media )
then it would be nice when they could follow the Guide ( maybe for download )

i believe that could motivate new people to look into the Domain Business
and create an Account

...

This is something I would love to be involved in. The industry is growing rapidly. People also need to know how to value a domain, re-seller v end user prices.

new domain investors would benefit greatly by there being recognised helpers on np that would oversee a domainers first couple of sales or just be available for advice as the quality of domain they buy attracts bigger pennies and requires experienced sales negotiation to achieve maximum roi on investment etc or even an np thread that lists np authorised brokers that new domain investors can use if they simply want go buy names and outsource the sale process

i for one would probably use a broker if the fees were reasonable because none of my names are parked or developed etc and produce zero $'s
which an experienced broker could monetise my names

some new domainers may prefer this option too

but their should be a thread how to transfer a name - into and out of all registrars and the costs involved to factor in and escrow methods and a current list of fees etc and

all things a new domainer may not be aware of when selling their first domain etc

the info is here in a variety of threads and different posts etc but it would be nice if it was in just one thread for learners etc - that said it probably is

I think the biggest problem is who will write these guides. I think Eric is way too busy. As am I, and probably many others. Then there are differing opinions. About nGTLD's for example. Although one might say. Beginners should leave nGTLD's well alone. But that was just 1 example. I think this is a very hard job to succeed with. IMHO. It might be possible to have several dedicated forums for beginners, re Parking, Selling, Hosting, et al. With a specific active expert for each. But I think the in fighting over conflicting opinions would probably kill them. This is just my 2c worth of opinion. Let the beginners pick the bones out of the current setup, and encourage them to ask questions when something isn't covered. I'd love anyone to prove me wrong in this opinion.
