I have found domain that consists of 2 saleable words but they are split with a hyphen.
It is a .com domain, will the hyphen devalue the domain alot???

Was is shane-bellone.com?
The exception to the hyphen rule is; hyphens are good on .de domains. Germans like hyphens. Hyphens on .com domains are not very desirable in general.
Like many mentioned; hyphens are undesirable in a domain name.
Few exceptions; N-N.com, L-L.com are worth about 5K & 3K respectively.
Example:
358.com sold for $480,000
3-8.com is valued @ $4,750

Fair to say these go against the trend the L-L and N-N are rare and short I guess

Marsi, you have it wrong I'm afraid
Germany is the exception like I said to Shane That doesn't mean I would disagree with any of the comments on this thread that a hyphen greatly reduces the value of the name. On .de domains a hyphen may be preferred.I have sold a few hyphenated names always to german buyers and they were all .com
