If you have a littel knowledge about domains you never compare .co with .xyz > .Co is for a country (colombia ) and they use for companies too SO >> .xyz is public and can be used for everything like .com

If you look at how the domain grows, you will see which one grows faster. Domain.co came much earlier than XYZ, but domain XYZ had a much higher growth despite its younger age. Every time the list of sold out domains published, there are many xyz and you can hardly see .co As I said before, your thoughts do not determine the market, the demand and interest of people determine the way of growth.
