This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

That is great. Congratulation. Regardless of the fact that it has 27 letters, it got sold! I will hold on to my weeklyhealthcare.com

RoofingJobs.com
$7,500

Lesson learned on this one-- give yourself some extra time to close the deal, if you can. I received a late offer from a potential buyer I had contacted, but it was too late as the transaction had closed. Left some money on the table on this one!

One of my better names in construction space, but I do have a backup domain and many others names to develop so am happy with the sale.

DetroitRoofing.com
$725

Picked it up for $25 several years back on a godaddy action. Buyer got a great deal as we're divesting out of our GEO names so that we can concentrate on developing our Career sites and Niche directories.

I have around 200 other GEO dot com domains in duct cleaning, roofing, carpet cleaning, cleaning, flooring, painting, handyman, etc. Some really nice GEO names! IM me for a list-- looking to sell the lot at a very reasonable price.

LosAngelesCarpetCleaning.net
$288 on Afternic/Godaddy

I knocked this dot net price down and it sold within a week or so.

Wish the buyer had contacted us directly so wouldn't have had to pay the commission. Probably wasn't type-in traffic-- likely saw it on godaddy or other marketplace and grabbed it right away

We don't set a floor price when priced to move. We also set the minimum offer at the BIN price so buyers can either take it or leave it. We moved many GEO domains using this strategy.

Most of our GEO dot com names sell in mid XXX range, some higher depending on the niche and GEO.

Like it when buyers contact me directly so I can upsell them with other domains in their region. I've had buyers buy multiple names, but don't get this visibility rightaway when selling on marketplace.

was it an outbound or inbound?
It was an inbound inquiry to my Whois. It's a domain I've controlled since 2012 and have had some great offers on in the past.

Did you have it listed for a lesser buy it now price anywhere or was it listed as make an offer everywhere?
