Actually, my domain was two week's past its expiration date, however well within its redemption period, when Google transferred it to Squarespace. I have been unable to redeem/renew the domain since. I have tried three different cards. Email support has been unhelpful (suggestions to clear cookies, try a different browser, try an incognito browser window, clear cache, etc.).
Chat support was unable to renew it by hand themselves. I am now waiting on an "escalated" email ticket, which "will take longer" to respond as to how I can make my payment. I have been trying to renew it for almost a month with various suggestions to call my bank, check my card details, etc., before they figured out it has to be that it because it is expired and in its redemption period. I was even told to contact TUCOWS then was told that was an error, as it is not a TUCOWS domain.
I am now down to the last 10 days left in my 60 days re redemption period and am terrified I am going to lose this domain I have had since 2014 because no one at Squarespace can figure out how to renew an expired domain!
