Hi all,

Your friendly neighbourhood domain registrar here, just wanting to let you all know that, for a limited time and while "stocks" last, all .COM registrations and transfers at AlpNames.com are only $4.99 - and there are no volume limits. :)

Cheers,

Team AlpNames

Are there any restrictions/conditions for account push and registrar transfer?

@Lakshan:
We don't believe in shady practices!!! In fact, we often receive requests to expedite transfer outs and, if it's in our power to do so, we will always help.

To be clear, we do NOT charge a transfer out fee.

Sure would be great if Afternic would update their premium registrar list.

As you guys have figured out, we ARE enrolled in the Afternic reseller programme by virtue of the fact that we operate on the Logicboxes backend system. Agreed that it would be good to get a mention though, other LB registrars do...thanks for flagging it, we will take it up with them.

We don't apply any restrictions/hidden fees etc. for transfers. As far as account push is concerned, this used to be an instantaneous and completely painless procedure, but is now subject to the new ICANN IRTP if any of the registrant emails change...we openly dislike this change, it is a real headache for customers and our support team alike. We do what we can to ease the process though.

Super offer! I've regged a lot of .com with alpnames months ago during the $ 5 offer.
I've a lot of domain with alpnames, never have any problem with them.
I've transfer to alpnames most of my domains (developed) without any issue.
Amazing prices, good live support/via email.
Adrian from support is very helpful, and help me a lot of time.

Hi Adam27,

From the error you are reporting, I am guessing that you are using Firefox? If so, this is a known issue with that browser and affects many secure sites, not just AlpNames.com. I will ask our tech team to double-check that our SSLs are working properly - could you please tell me what page you are receiving the error on, also what action you are trying to perform at the time?

Tried them but keep getting this error.

New TLD spam regs.

https://ntldstats.com/registrar/1857-Alpnames-Limited

We consider ourselves something of a specialist in the new gTLD space, having been one of the first registrars to really focus on them (we are currently the third largest new gTLD registrar in the world). While we acknowledge that abuse exists on ALL TLDs, we take reports of the same very seriously and our abuse team does an excellent job of investigating and, where necessary, taking action against customers that abuse our services.

I purchased 3 .coms from alpnames, but they are not apparent on the admin screen when I log into my account. I have to do a "jump to a domain" search to find them - is this normal? Or am I not seeing a link or something. This is the first time I have purchased from alpnames.

From your control panel home screen you need to select "List/Search Orders" from the "Manage Orders" drop down menu. This will then take you to a list view of your orders.

Thanks for buying from AlpNames!

PS - if you are currently trying to use the website, we are rolling out some changes that we hope you will like. Please bear with us while we are updating the code. All control panel features should work as normal.

Thanks for great promotion! I moved my domains from Namesilo with no issues.

I started a few transfers to test it out and there is one thing I do not like. Why would you change the contact details of the domains upon transfer?
Each one of my domains has different contact info. After the transfer I will have to go and change them all to what they were before that. Imagine what happens if I want to transfer a couple thousand of domains.

anyone else added some builk domains to transfer and even after receiving confirmation emails and approving, some of that bulk transfer not showing up in domain manager? happened to 3 of my domains out of 10 today.

didn't get charged for it either.

but.. did get the approval emails for all 10

bug? should I just re add to transfer from scratch?

I think the problems that people are experiencing are all due to the new ICANN IRTP procedures - we're really not enjoying having to deal with it as a registrar, so we feel for our customers. It has become apparent over the last week that, not only is it confusing for registrants, many other registrars simply have no clue as to what is required. We have had to phone a couple of losing registrars to help customers with their transfers and the lack of awareness re. the new procedure has been surprising...and a little worrying.

Please contact our support team and they will proactively help you complete your transfers.

Hopefully this week, we will be producing an IRTP guide to help our customers (and others!) better understand the process.

Not sure if your answer was towards my post or the one from alcy. I am sure that resetting contacts is not because of IRTP as you can freely get email confirmation on the old email from the contacts and avoid changing all the contact information.

Hi DomainZombie - your issue is somewhat unique, per our KnowledgeBase article (here), you will note that all incoming transfers adopt the default contacts that you have set in your account, unless you have set up additional contacts, in which case you can select a different one (which is always an option for you). What makes the situation unique for you is that, per your post above, all your domain names use different contact details for some reason - so, yes, it is understandable that this may cause you, personally, some issues.

On the flip side, please bear in mind that registrant information should always be 100% real and accurate - ICANN is really clamping down on this and we are receiving requests from them on an almost daily basis to verify the WHOIS info of various domain names, which normally involves running an ID check with the registrant. I am not suggesting that your registrant/WHOIS info is, necessarily, inaccurate - it could just be that each domain name uses a different email address - but, if it is, you may well experience additional issues, which would not be of our making, further down the line.

I use different email for each and every domain, yes + I use identifiers on each domain name. All information is accurate and active and I receive mail/email/calls quite often.
Also I am not aware of a easy way to transfer a domain without active and working email address :)

@AlpNames
Please ask LogicBoxes to add the Bulk AUTH-codes export...
It is absent in their panel and a real trouble for medium and large portfolios...

Or even better: write your own panel... and be independent...

And please ask @Sedo to add you into their registrar list...
I did that a few times - zero results...

Noted - and it has been requested previously! I believe there are security concerns at play here. You could always provide us with a list of domain names and we could pull the EPP codes manually for you.

And please ask @Sedo to add you into their registrar list...
I did that a few times - zero results...

We have also asked on numerous occasions (and are completely ignored!)...LogicBoxes is on the Sedo list, but it is my understanding that they have not completed the implementation process as yet. Once they do so, we should be able to push a little harder.

Or even better: write your own panel... and be independent...

All in good time...all in good time... :)

2F-Auth is available in LB.
So I don't see any security concerns here...

LogicBoxes is on the Sedo list
It is just a panel, LB is not a registrar.
So the domain pushes are impossible between various accredited registrars even if they use the same panel.
