Mixed script "fake" IDN on Sedo

-These are just a couple of many that are on featured domains at Sedo.com, there are very many!

Sedo had stopped allowing them for some time now but slipping back in to their old ways.

They are shown as IDN but they are simply mixed script, English and other languages cobbled together, to look like real English words. Many people have been caught out by this type of worthless rubbish in the past both on Sedo and on the various forums.

holíday.com

amerìca.com etc.

Well done NP's for removing many of them from the forum.

Make sure you don't get caught by them, particularly if you are new to domaining.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Neither a Chinese or a Greek or a Thai would know how to type or reach ā.com. So this is an extremely misleading example.

there are 70 million thai's out there who are just getting 3g and smart phones. first thing they all do is add thai fonts to their phones. i've lived here for 10 years and my family is thai and they message each other using 5 different tones and don't have any problems doing it. it's a very simple 1 button push from english to thai on the iphone.

What a great way to not only confuse the public about what your domain name actually means but also isolate yourself from most of the internet users.

Brilliant.

They used thai fonts not macron a. Macron a has 0 searches worldwide because it is not used in everyday language. Thus no one knows how to type it in.

not disagreeing with the basis of your argument, just the comment that appeared to state that thai's (and others) don't know how to work their way around on their phones

I was not saying this. I meant to say the opposite of this. I meant that comparing Thai to macron a is misleading because one of them is hardly used while the other is fairly popular. Of course Thai know how to type thai.

Shill bid ?

a guy from china
he didn,t pay

but the point is :

if you register a domain and you get a bid
than no one has the right to be jealous

Then domainers should be happy about the appraisal scam E-mails they are getting.

Jealous about what ? There never was a valid offer. This name is worthless. You are trying to justify garbage.
ᗱ.com ()xn--3qe.com is a useless gadget. That's why you are letting this domain drop, you don't even believe what you write.

Why should someone be jealous of a sale that never happened?

Makes no sense to me.

Getting a fake bid can be incredibly frustrating. Not something that I would want to happen to me.

When Wot posted this thread he didn't known that buyer didn't pay
The point is still :
This thread is an attack
Nobody has the right to decide what is fake or not
Every character is equal
And nobody has the right to stop what is worthless or not

For me

The Mona Lisa is junk
For some it has value

You even don't have your own language

Actually we do, it's called ENGLISH and it's the global language of business.
