Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I thought things was picking up when people was saying they were getting offers, but then reading 80% of those are other domainers submitting low offers for the lolz and for keywords like mobile/bet etc, makes it all meh.

I’ve had 1offer so far, but I’m not really going all out trying to sell them yet, ie:- every domain I’ve bought after Christmas isn’t even for sale yet and I hide my personal information and from reading around a lot of offers people contact directly by e-mail?

Think the next thing to do is get a website made to showcase my domains on and so people can contact me directly.
Why hide your info? I have my info on all my domains. I think it's a sign of trustworthiness for potential buyers that you don't hide your info.

I like to think on the positive side.B-) Here's what's really happening. Right now as we speak you have a bunch of media, marketing, studios, and ad companies coming up with a 'Comprehensive Strategic VR Plan' CSVRP for short (I didn't check on availability). They are allocating budgets for us right now! Yes- you and I! My names... your names are on a list right now and going through channels and overpaid consultants. Some may decide to wait. Some are getting their teams together for execution day... But if you wait.... they will come!!! By all things holy, They will come!!!!:!::)

I'm a private guy and to stop spam. My business website never had Whois guard for about a week once and the site wasn't even live and the amount of spam/scam e-mails i got was unbelievable.

I don't think it's anything to do with trust. If people want one of my domains, there's a way to contact me and if you buy through a site like Sedo or Escrow aren't buyer/seller protected anyway?

We reached 500 pages on 17th January, now after only 2 weeks we reached 550, that's crazy.
At this rate until the end of the year we'll reach 1000 pages :D

Gotcha. I just read somewhere that it might be good to not be anonymous. Alot of people are worried about scammers while buying stuff online.

Yeah, I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to be honest mate. I did a search on NamePros whether it’s best to have privacy protection or not and past threads discussing this views are mixed.

An offer of $ 200 for a domain as a bingovr (sedo) is difficult to bear fruit for sale. There are far behind their true worth.

Mario.

You have to do some legwrk to move weaker names.. Find those endusers and have passion on why the dn should be there brand.. I don't buy a domain to make my portfolio bigger I buy because of my imagination of what the domain could become.. I sell that idea to the buyer.

It's easy to pull your c card and Reg like crazy but what are you going to do to make a sale happen?

Wait and Park? Wait on the billion dollar industry to pick up? Pray?

Go running each time you hear a email... Hoping for a sale..

Bigger sales do happen when a enduser comes knocking .. But how long does one wait before you start doing some knocking.

Curious if your domain was an exact match for these startups or was the domain similar to what they were working on. I find it difficult to sell to a potential enduser when your domain is niche and there is no obvious enduser for your domain. I would appreciate your feedback as to your strategies for domains like this. Thanks FX!

Look at a past sale

VRGate - most will think how the bloody hell did he do that?

Gate and VR how?

You just have to believe and sell the idea.

For a domainer - KickStarter and LinkedIn is a must to find a enduser.

Congrats! @FX Here's my thoughts on your question. I honestly think it's people's counter offers that's the issue. And the unwillingness to budge or show flexibility. If I start off with a $300 offer, you counter $10K, I go higher and you still counter at $10K when I have a $3K budget. Then I move on from lack of flexibility. Many seem to think that every name is $25,000. Heck, I've seen xxx,xxx to six figures thrown around here. Keep things in perspective and consider what the amount being paid can buy comparatively. A 3 good 3 letter .COM? A GEO? I believe I saw SouthAmerica.com sold for $30,000 I'm just saying there are alternatives. There are much better domains that $25K can buy now then VR in the nascent stage. Just my 2 centsB-) I know not worth much :)
