Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
With all the low ball offers going around sounds like a domainer trying to jump back into VR to make a quick dollar..

People will buy your names for cheap and then try and sell it to Mikkel for a big profit.

Hold onto your names and sell for the right price as once you let them go it's almost impossible to get them back!

So, something weird happened today after receiving another counter offer for my domain ParaguayVR dot com which I counter offered again.

I knew the buyer was from Paraguay, and I was right. He is actually an old friend of mine who I last saw a few years ago, he called me and told me he is starting a VR company (this is huge here because Paraguay is really small and there's no other company that has jumped on VR yet), he already has the infrastructure in place and they're selling experiences like cupcakes behind the scenes (they still need a name), anyways, to make it short, he offered me a job at his company.

I'm speechless. I'll be making more money than my current job -- I'm a IT sysadmin for a local Microsoft Partner. The thing is I have no experience in VR. I haven't even tried it yet, I told him that and he doesn't care, he wants me for my enthusiasm in VR (his words), the learning comes with the job.

I'm absolutely blown away and I can't believe a domain name could open some many doors this soon for me.

Anyways, the ball is at my side now, I have to decide what I'm going to do, today is going to be a looong day :)

Don't drag, show good will with the domain sale, at the end of the day, he does not have to brand it with the country name, can choose any keyword+VR, but you might wait years for another client with interest in that country. I just registered 10 million population country + VR for $8 just to show that many countries don't have a clue yet for it. Regarding job, discuss how financially sound the business is, if you can transfer gradually not to lose your current job, if it does not pick up, can you get some options for shares in the company etc. And then decide.

I sold him a few VR names around xx,xxx worth. Then everyone kept spamming him and he disappeared!

I can only imagine how his inbox was being spammed to death lol

worth anything or dump?

CashVR.com
WalletVR.com
VRSex.de

Those are good, imho. Worth keeping. Maybe, in the future, you'll be able to go to cash loan places virtually, meet your agent there, "sit" behind a virtual desk and discuss the terms )

Very good, but a person like you was on vr from the start should have many more like that.

Saludos,
Mario.

For a domainer - KickStarter and LinkedIn is a must to find a enduser.

I'm not on LinkedIn but might join it soon, domainers using Kickstarter to find end users baffles me slightly though, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the whole point of Kickstarter for people who have no money and are looking for donations to fund their ideas?

If so, how do people on Kickstarter find the xxx or xxxx $ to fund a domain when supposedly the donations they receive go supposed to go into the development of their product first and foremost?

I have a few domains where I won't contact end users, as I believe they are big enough names where end users will come to me in a year or 2 and I'd rather that happen so i can get more £$£$£, but yeah I do have a few which i wouldn't mind getting rid of this year, I've sent out a couple e-mails to get rid of these but will look more into Kickstarter and LinkedIn.

Thanks.

Luigi won't sell less then $10k he could sell to Mikkel who owns MusicVR.com

Was just on the blower to my broker - these lowball offers for a score are just to buy low and sell to Mikkel.

Hold Tight

I see many new market auctions at sedo with keyword VIRTUAL.
It may be interesting to see when these end, who is buying. One/two or Many.

I think there are still harder times ahead if you are holding a lot of dead weight in renewals.
That said, it's not going to stop me from making offers for those on my 'missed list'.
There should be plenty of new start-ups this summer as the venture capital begins to cut loose.
Hope you all can hang on.

If they can get them to work properly, I agree feedback/haptic suits &clothing are eventually going to be one of the biggest VR accessories... (especially in the adult category :-o). I've a few names in that category:

virtualbodysuit

virtualrealitysuits

vrvest

feedbacksuit
feelsuit
gamingsuits
pornsuit
touchsuit
xxxsuit

This looks interesting! Imagine playing Haptic Virtual Reality (HVR) slot machines.

Haptics in VR using the Leap Motion for Tracking.
