From what I understand, Adam still owes north of $33,000 to previous customers and business partners. As I receive more information, I will update this figure.

I don't remember reading here about how Shane Bellone ripped off anyone. Perhaps you can steer me to that post. What you say? There is no such post? Yes, I know. The guy is no victim, he just has an admirable amount of courage and perhaps wasn't truly aware of the enormity of his initial post and the inevitable consequences when you smack the hornet's nest with a baseball bat. Whether or not he is a victim has little to do with the righteousness and merit of his position.

I don't think that @Jen-Sin meant that he needed a better explanation on why he or anyone else following this situation closely needed a detailed breakdown to donate money to the cause, but more so to help make this more viral when sharing among others that are not following or that might be sympathetic to the situation.

I was going to say something along the same line. Shane has done a wonderful job documenting the case and keeping track of every aspect of the process. But anyone outside of the domaining community will have a hard time finding all the information about the case, they probably don’t know about this thread. Those who requested Adam’s services were not only domainers, don’t forget about this. With that in mind, I think it would beneficial for everybody to have a more detailed description of the case in the Gofundme page.

Does anyone else in this industry want a upfront fee to broker domains? That's stupid. Legit brokers only charge a performance based commission.

So if you place a domain with Dicker how do you decide that "reserved price" and where would he get people wanting him as a broker? Simple, we already know he does assessments and people then believe that their domain is worth $xxxx and will be worth $xx,xxx once they pay $xxxx for him to do a stock Wordrpess install on it. So it is just an easy step from there to pay him 5% of the Dicker-assessed value of the domain upfront so he can say he will try to sell it.

Has anyone paid him this fee?

If this were real estate, the property surveyor and the broker/agent would be two separate roles.

Re Legal Fund

Shane I think Jen-Sins advice is well meant and of value. Especially in this case you want to be as transparent as possible. Give details as to what the fund represents and you will more thanake your point and garner more donations.

This is just my opinion. But it makes good sense to be clear and concise when countering someone who has been anything but transparent, clear or concise.

I don't have a pony in this show (though I may contribute to the fund), but here's my two cents:

Whenever one asks for money (for whatever reason), it is advantangeous for the terms of use to be very clear and upfront.

For example,

How will the funds be used?
For legal representation?
To pay AD's customers?
How will the fund determine who has a valid claim and who is blowing smoke?
What happens with any extra funds collected (should that be an issue)?​

I totally agree that such transparency will draw more donations and reassure already skittish donors that their donations will go to the right places.

I'm not doubting SB intentions -- just agreeing that (especially now) transparency means a lot.

A rescue dog, and the money was to pay for something else. I really liked the brand new carpet they just had installed. These dog rescue places pay the expenses for the dogs a person fosters.

He has broken promises, stalled for time with lies, come into a $50,000-80,000 windfall by selling DNF.com and instead of paying restitution has used it against you with an EMPTY THREAT of a letter from a lawyer. That letter NEVER MENTIONS LIBEL because Dicker and his lawyer know they HAVE NOTHING on that front.

To All the victims, please report your stories to the Federal authorities. If you don't know to whom I am referring, I can post that again. The Feds SHOULD HAVE a record of all your stories. There is no law that says you can't go after him criminally and civilly, ie, reporting him to the authorities does not preclude you from a future class action suit. You can do both. And, actually, it might strengthen your civil case if he is concurrently under investigation by the Feds. Stop getting stolen from and pushed around and make your own destiny.

At the very least, gather and organize all your correspondences, emails, texts, receipts so that when the time comes you can act swiftly.[/
